CMU Auton Lab

The CMU Auton Lab (www.autonlab.org) develops AI and machine learning
algorithms and applies them to a broad spectrum of scientific, commercial,
and goverment applications.

The Role

We seek project scientist/postdocs for a new project developing AI-based
approaches to multi-agent perception and autonomy systems.  The project
includes the development  and analysis of new algorithms and the
implementation and testing of them on real autonomous robot teams.

Research Areas

* deep learning, reinforcement learning, Bayesian optimization
* computer vision, lidar, active sensing, multi-sensor fusion
* robotics, autonomy


Requirements

* A PhD degree in a machine learning/autonomy related discipline (those 
with
an MS degeree may apply for other positions on this project)

* A very strong quantitative background

* Excellent software development skills in C/C++ and/or Python

* A strong background in one or more of the research areas listed above

* Excellent presentation, writing, and communication skills

* US citizenship preferred but not required
