Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI, the Dutch national research institute for mathematics and computer science) is looking for three postdocs to research sample-based planning, multi-agent learning and preference modelling for negotiations, motivated by applications in smart energy systems. The two pertinent projects are industry collaborations in which CWI provides the scientific foundation. The positions are embedded in a diverse team of motivated junior and senior researchers with experience and ongoing complementary projects on topics such as negotiation, smart energy systems, (deep) multi-agent learning, and more.

** Researcher on Preference Modelling and Negotiation:
- Project: Grid-Friends - Demand Response For Grid-Friendly Quasi-Autarkic Energy Cooperatives.
- Goal: devise algorithms and experiments for preference elicitation and aggregation, negotiation, and distributed control in face of uncertainty.
- Background: preference modeling, automated negotiation, (evolutionary) game theory, and sequential multi-agent decision-making under uncertainty
