About Rolls-Royce@NTU, Singapore:

The Rolls-Royce@NTU (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) Corporate Lab on Large Scale Data Analytics was launched at a joint investment by NTU, Rolls-Royce and the National Research Foundation, Singapore. It is the first of its kind in the world with a university, focusing on three core research areas - Electrical Power and Control Systems, Manufacturing and Repair Technologies and Computational Engineering. The Computational Engineering programme within the lab is investigating state-of-the-art techniques in Data Analytics to process data across the Rolls-Royce design, development, manufacturing, and in-service applications in order to develop strategic capability for introducing step-change improvements in the products and processes.


The following openings are available at the lab:

--One research fellow in machine learning for engines design.
--One project officer in machine learning for engines design.


Required Qualifications:

***Research Fellow:***

--PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics or a related discipline with a focus on machine learning, data analytics or artificial intelligence. Having research experience in inverse prediction is a plus.

--Independent research experience and/or experience in developing and deploying machine learning & optimization technology capabilities to both academic and industrial environment are expected.

--Practical expertise with the use of Machine Learning or data analytics and optimization, fluency in C/C++ or Java is a plus.

***Project Officer/Research Assistant:***

--Master or Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Statistics/Mathematics or a related discipline with knowledge in machine learning.

--Strong programming skills on at least two programming languages, such as Matlab, Python, C++ or Java.

--Experience in developing and deploying machine learning & optimization technology capabilities to either academic or industrial environment is a plus.
