Hi all,

I made a very simple traffic light app as an exercise to learn MIT App Inventor (which is fabulous btw).

When I tried to use the following image as my app icon, the apk installer would crash on SGS7 (Android 8.0.0).

What are the specifications to use an image as an .apk icon?

Can the MIT App inventor run checks, or convert the image to a suitable format?

Use a 48 x 48 pixel or 96 x 96 pixel png image file for the icon image for best results. Larger images will not work as you discovered.
