I just noticed that the 2.50 version of the MIT AI Companion App does not seem to work on Genymotion Emulators (either Samsung Galaxy S4 4.4.4 API 19 or Nexus 5X 7.1.0 API 25).  Version 2.47 of the MIT AI Companion App works, but the newer one (downloaded from MIT's site) fails to install because of "An error occrued while deploying the file.  This probably means that the app contains ARM native code and your Genymotion device cannot run ARM instructions.  Your should either build your native code to x86 or install an ARM translation tool in your device."

Has anyone else seen this?  Is there an ARM translation tool for Genymotion?

Thanks,

I believe it is OK for me to share this link to an emulator for 2.50 x86

This is a version that doesn’t have the WebRTC libraries, so it will only use the “legacy” mechanism” when connecting.

You need to tick the box

Hi Tim,

Yes, it is fine to share that link. It is the URL our emulator package uses to update itself.

Companion2.50.apk  can't  support MIT_App_Inventor_Tools_2.3.0(windows7) ?

C:\Program Files (x86)\AppInventor\commands-for-appinventor>adb install MITAI2Companion.apk
1087 KB/s (15881838 bytes in 14.267s)
        pkg: /data/local/tmp/MITAI2Companion.apk
Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK]
rm failed for -f, Read-only file system
