After installation .apk Send Message (SMS) require READ_PHONE_STATE permission, unfortunately MIT App Inventor 2 is not added this permission to Manifest file (<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE" />)

When I choosing a Phone Number from PhoneNumberPicker pops Runtime Error...

OS: Android 5.0 Lollipop

On an older OS (Android 4 Jelly Bean) is ok ):

It is bug? Whether it will be corrected in the MIT AI2?

Hi Jakub,

Do you have any additional information about the RuntimeError that you can share? Also, if possible please attach the .aia and .apk so that we can debug it further.

Thanks,
Evan

Hi Jakub,

Something else that you could test: Try adding a PhoneCall component to your Screen1 and see if the problem persists.

Thanks,
Evan
