So I've been trying to setup a data storage app by following the outline of the Pizza Party app tutorial but just tweaking the entry boxes to only be text boxes for my own purposes. I keep getting the same error (see attached). Can anyone clarify what I'm doing wrong?

use the service account method as explained in the Pizza Party tutorial
btw. does the Pizza Party tutorial work for you without adjustments?

and don't forget to use the quotify procedure as shown in the Pizza Party tutorial

Ive followed the tutorial about as meticulously as possible. It's pointing to the fusion table and reading information from it, it just won't write to it. I do not understand what the error I'm receiving means and what I need to fix. The only real change I've made from the tutorial is I'm only using text boxes, no lists or times. Other than that, I can't see a difference in my quotify or inserttotable procedure.

What I would like is for someone to explain what quotify is trying to do, because looking at the tutorial it makes zero sense. I'm also not certain on the FusiontablesControl1.InsertRow. Is it just looking for series of strings separated by commas inside of quotation marks? I feel it would make more sense if it was looking for 5 arguments as strings I could just feed in separately but I dont understand app inventor enough

first get the Pizza Party tutorial running, then adjust it to your needs
the quotify procedure puts quotes around your values...

So, I managed to find the problem and I wanted to make it stated since alot of searching this forum showed a number of other people had the same issue and couldnt fix this. in the blocks editor, my service account email was copied with spaces at the end which seems to caused the issue. Going through and re-copy-pasting the service account into the blocks editor, design editor, and the share link from the fusion table ultimatly allowed me to edit the fusion table from the app
