Guess who got their CDL today?

I am currently in school for truck driving and I will try to make a long
story short.
I started the day at 6am talking to other students this morning saying
"Guess who is getting their CDL today?" Someone even asked me, how come you
get to take the test before everybody else. My reply was, they think I am
ready.
I was a little scared about the test, because we were at the drivers license
bureau once, while some of us were driving the road test part, others were
watching a skills test in progress. They saw a person that was asked to
make a right turn, in the parking lot, when the turn was so tight there was
no way it could be done, with a 45 foot trailer and not his the curb. We
even had people that had been driving for 35 years, that could not make that
turn, even with a button hook first.
That deal with the right hand turn managed to prompt a few people from the
school to watch the test today, so I was concerned about that also.
It turned out that nobody had to do the impossible right hand turn. We
still had to make a right hand turn and keep our trailer wheels as close to
the curb without hitting it. For each foot we were away from the curb at
the end of the turn, points were taken off.
I was scheduled for the test, by the school, at 8am today. When we got
there, I waited for 1/2 hour before I found out someone else had the 8am
appointment, and the state had rescheduled me for the 18th. I used my cell
phone and changed some appointments. I was going to take a few days off of
school after getting my CDL and even leave town.
One person had fun asking me "Guess who is *not* getting their CDL today?"
He even went on to explain, he was doing that because, he said, I shouldn't
have had so much fun saying "Guess who is getting their CDL today?"
The person that ended up in my time spot, was asked to make a right turn
then drive into an area between two lines and not hit the cones. He was not
expecting that particular maneuver and was not ready for it. Besides, it
might have been another impossible maneuver. He ended up, hitting a cone
and failing because of that. However, the next two examiners did not give
that same maneuver.
The next person that took all the test at 9:30 test was already telling
jokes about being the "New Sheriff in town", and telling the instructor to
go back into the sleeper. etc etc. The funny thing about him was, he was so
careful about not hitting a curb with his trailer, that he was watching it
in his mirror and hit a curb with the left front tire. He ended up failing
the road test because of that, even though he had done everything else
correctly.
While he was on his road test, I managed to get scheduled for the 2:30 test
today. Right after that, I went back to the person that was having so much
fun asking me, "Guess who is *not* getting their CDL today?" and asked him
"Guess who is getting their CDL today?" He couldn't say anything then.
Shortly after that, the person on the 9:30 test returned and let us know
that he failed the "Road test." He also said that they might let him
reschedule. What made that funny was when he found out someone else was
already scheduled for 2:30. He figured out who it was.
I wasn't too worried about the skills test, after seeing the person at 9:30
pass it, but then when I was asked to do the docking part of the test, the
woman told me, I had to do it without sticking my head out the window, all I
could use was the mirrors. I got a little worried. I mean on that
particular backup, I always stuck my head out the window and now I was told
I could not do that.
I turned too soon and had to use my one allowed pull up. I backed up again
and was short of the yellow line in back by about 2 feet. She told me, I
could try to do better or take that because I would still pass. I said I'd
take that.
I had some minor problems on the road test. While shifting OK, some of them
could be heard. On one part of the test, there was a flatbed on the right
side of the road, with it's tires on the road, and I was forced to drive
with the left side of my trailer on the center line. That would have taken
points off if the truck had not been there.
On the turn where the person that took the test at 9:30 failed, I could see
the examiner watching it very close. I missed both curbs, but I thought she
might have enough points against me to fail me anyway.
When we were done driving, she said "Congratulations you passed."
I went in and waited a while and ended up with my CDL. Shortly after that,
I went outside and spoke to the two people that had tried the test earlier
today and failed and waited to see how my test turned out.
I said to person that took the test at 8:00am "Thanks for failing the test
for me." I think everybody knows he was screwed by that particular
maneuver. He laughed about it.
I told the person that took the test at 9:30 am. "To you, I'm Sheriff." He
repeated what I said as if he wasn't real happy about the joke.
It turned out to be a lot of fun and I re-rescheduled my trip out of town.
Now I might have to re-reschedule my first truck driving interview also.

There are always people so conceited that they think they can do anything.
You don't even know all the other rules that were put on that turn and you
still think you could do it.
The only way that right turn could be done is if you started as far to the
left as possible, which wasn't that far from the curb to start with, then
start your turn as soon as your rear tractor tires passed the curb. Then
your trailer would end up just inches from the curb.
The only trouble with that was, if you wait that long, you start your turn,
on the cone itself, not before it. So the opening was from the middle of
the front wheel to the back of the rear duals. How wide would that make it?
It doesn't really matter, if that particular turn was even possible, because
none of us, that took the test today, lost any points for going a bit pass
the cone.
I knew a person that thought he was so good at shifting a motorcycle, that
he could take a high 12 second motorcycle and run high 11 seconds with it.
The worst part was, he didn't even shift that well compared to other people
I'd seen and besides that, even if he could shift a better than everybody
else in the world, the small amount of difference it would have made,
wouldn't even make up for how heavy he was.
I get sick of people that blurt out stuff and never realize how wrong they
are and can never accept the fact they could even be wrong.

I do not condone pedophiles, but where is the victim? If there is one, what

I've seen a mother and daughter have completely different feelings toward a
person. Where the mother makes things look like a crime was committed, it
was the testimony of the daughter, in court, proved the mother was the crazy
one and had been lying through her teeth for years because of what a 3rd
person, that has since then died, had said.
While people might be right about Richard, I've also seen people wrong about
someone and it had to go to court to find out who was lying.

Most of the people talking about Bullis lately have been people trying to
say his a great guy and a credit to our race.
I don't spend much time calling anyone names. I do ask questions that
point to what may or not be lacking in a person. I keep asking Bullis if
he has a job yet. He hasn't been polite enough to answer yet. I want to
know if I'm paying his grocery bill. That's a fair question that he seems
to be afraid of. He's more intersted in the bodies of underage youth.
If you don't like what some one is saying about your friend the put them
in the killfile. Keep in mind Bullis might give you trucking advice that
will get you jailed and maybe killed. But he's your close friend so that
would be okay?

It certainly looks like Richard cut his own throat on that one, but I've
also seen where things take a completely different appearance after hearing
all sides of the story.

Thank you for the clarification.
I read a lot of stories of Catholic priest that have fondled young boys and
placed themselves in a lot of trouble because of that. But, I've never seen
any Catholic priest get into trouble just for saying he had an interest in
young girls. He would if he posted that here. ;-)
After getting my CDL last week, I skipped school for a full week to give
others time to practice for theirs. Yesterday was the first time in a week
that I drove an 18 wheeler. I had a little trouble shifting, but I don't
think the week off hurt my backing up any.
I plan to take my chance at driving for the last 4 days of school, even
though there is one person left, in our group, that does not have his CDL
yet.

8. March 28, 2004 a Usenet Identity Thief (Jeff) decides to help the Usenet
Hijacker, the Usenet Bomber and Malicious Scott so he would post with my
name and e-mail address for months on end.
9. March 31, 2004 Dave Ruff, the Usenet Hijacker finds a one letter typo
and starts a nasty rumor against my CDL.
10. June 18, 2004 after posting a "Correct Answer" Tim/realityChallenged
would start the chant "liar" and he would continue that chant into 2008 even
after he found out that I had posted correct information on June 17, 2004
after all!
