FACTS & LOGIC behind Apple's decision to limit users' FM radio choice?

This thread is asking about Apple's logic for not allowing _choice_:
o With just device & antenna with nothing else required (i.e., no Internet)

Facts first, then adult rational logic deduced from those facts.
o What is the logic of making iOS users "_just give up_" when
they want the _choice_ of something as trivially simple as basic
time-honored FM radio?

This recent informative thread on the Android newsgroup got me testing the
FM radio apps on Google Play (I use the Aurora Store as I don't have Google
accounts on my phone)...
o Looking for a non-internet FM radio
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.mobile.android/BTEmv9p4XOI>
<https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/comp.mobile.android/JE4aoFOdbBM>
where all I ask of erudite Apple posters is the logic of "why" no choice?

Facts first...
o Some iOS devices have this basic radio hardware, but it's not enabled
<https://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/fm-radio-in-smartphones/>
o Some devices have had the basic FM radio hardware removed (apparently)

<https://www.imore.com/realities-turning-fm-radios-iphone-and-other-phones>
o The iPad uses a Broadcom BCM4329 IC which has FM radio capability
<https://itstillworks.com/ipad-fm-radio-18574.html>
o The broadcasters appear to be all for FM radios

<https://www.macrumors.com/2017/09/28/apple-still-urged-to-enable-fm-radio-in-iphone/>
o Clearly the FCC is complaining that Apple customers lack choices:

<https://www.macrumors.com/2017/02/16/fcc-chairman-fm-radio-activation-smartphones/>
o Internet radio completely fails when there's no Internet
<https://www.igeeksblog.com/best-radio-apps-for-iphone-and-ipad/>
etc.

More facts:
o In the "imore" reference above, Apple's only known statement is:
"Users can dial emergency services and access Medical ID card
information directly from the Lock Screen, and we enable
government emergency notifications, ranging from Weather
Advisories to AMBER alerts."
o Which, typical with highly marketed products, cleverly sidesteps
answering the question of why Apple doesn't allow iOS users the choice.

Hence, with the facts above known, the adult question to ask is "Why".
o Why no choice?

LOGIC:
o *Why doesn't Apple allow iOS users this basic time-honored _choice_?*

Note to apologists - this is about "choice" - not about Internet radio.
