Aple owners just want to *feel* safe (which is Apple Marketing's job).
Apple doesn't care one bit if the owner is really safe (witness the shoddy
example of releasing 10.x iOS updates that Apple *knew* were so full of
security holes that not only could you drive a bus through them, but they
*knew* they'd be *destroying* the highly marketing "security update" in
fewer than 10 days after *millions* of people uploaded it because they
*already* had the fix in hand *before* they released the shoddy code!
It's well known that Apple doesn't test its software in the real world.
But it's not as well known that Apple doesn't even test their patches!
Below is yet another verbatim quote proving, as always, Apple doesn't even
*test* their software for the *simplest* of bugs, let alone test it in the
real world (saying only that the real world is "not supported").

"Apple's patch is ... nearly as buggy as the code it was designed to fix"

"It's [yet another] shoddy example of Apple ... not taking the time
to test it properly."

safe (not actually be safe).
