கீழடி அழிந்தது பிரளயத்தினாலா?

மேலே உள்ள படத்தில் தென்னமெரிக்காக்காவில் உள்ள வால்திவ்ய (Valdivia) வில் உள்ள மண்படிமங்கள் சுனாமியினால் உண்டானது என்று காணமுடிகிறது.

கீழே உள்ள படங்களில் மதுரைக்கு அருகே கீழடியில் இந்தியத் தொல்லியல்துறையினாரால் தோண்டப்பட்டுள்ள பகுதிகளில் உள்ள மண்படிமங்களைக் காண முடிகிறது.

திருவிளையாடற்புராணம் 11ஆவது படலத்தில் சுந்தர பாண்டியனின் (சோமசுந்தரேசுவரரின்) மகன் உக்கிர குமாரனின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில் மதுரைக்கு வந்த ஆழிப்பேரலை(“சுனாமி”) வந்தது என்றும், அதை வேல் எறிந்து உக்கிரபாண்டியன் தடுத்து நிறுத்தினான் என்று ஒரு குறிப்பு உள்ளது. 

மேலும, 17ஆவது படலத்தில் அதுலகீர்த்தி பாண்டியனின் பாண்டியனின் ஆட்சிக் காலத்தில் பேரூழி ஏற்பட்டு கடல் பொங்கி(“சுனாமி”) மதுரையை முற்றிலும் அழித்துள்ளது என்ற ஒரு குறிப்பு உள்ளது.

​வால்திவ்ய( Valdivia) வில் காணப்படும் மண் அமைப்பு சுனாமியினால் உண்டானது என்று கூறப்படுவதாலும், அதே போன்ற மண் அமைப்பு கீழடியிலும் காணப்படுகின்ற காரணத்தினாலும்,  திருவிளையாடற்புராணத்தில் மதுரையைச் சுனாமி அழித்ததாகக் குறிப்புகள் இருக்கின்ற காரணத்தினாலும் கீழடியானது சுனாமியினால்தான் அழிந்துள்ளது என்று கருதுகிறேன். 

புவியியல் அறிஞர்கள் அன்புள்ளம்  கொண்டு விளக்கி உதவிடுமாறு அன்புடன் வேண்டுகிறேன்.

மதுரையில் இருந்து கிழக்காக கிட்டதட்ட 100கிமீ தொலைவில் உள்ளது கடல்.

100கிமீ தாண்டி மதுரையை தாக்கும் அளவிற்க்கு கடற்கொள் வந்திருந்தால் இடைப்பட்ட ஊர்கள் எத்தனை அழிந்து போய் இருக்கும். மதுரையின் மேற்க்கே எவ்வளவு அழிந்து போய் இருக்கும்.

அதே நேரம் மதுரைக்கு வடகிழக்கே திருச்சி, தஞ்சை, சிதம்பரம், பாண்டி நகரங்கள் எல்லாம் மதுரையை விட கடலுக்கு அருகாமையில் உள்ள இடங்கள் மற்றும் நமக்கு நேர் கிழக்கே உள்ள இலங்கை எவ்வளவு அழிக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கும். நீங்கள் சொல்வது போல கீழடியும் அழிப்பேரலை அழிந்தது என்றால் இதுப்போல் பரவலாக ஆராய்ந்து ஒரே காலகட்டத்தில் கார்பன் டேட்டிங் காமித்தால் மட்டுமே நிருபிக்க முடியும்.

கீழடி வைகை ஆற்றின் கரையையொட்டி இருப்பதால் ஆற்றின் வெள்ளத்தால் அழிக்கப்பட்டு இருக்கலாம்.

சேர சோழ பாண்டிய நாடுகள் முற்றிலும் அழிந்ததாகப் புராணம் குறிப்பிடுகிறது.

அகழ்வாராய்ச்சியாளர்கள் வைகைக் கரையில் சுமார் நூற்றுக்கும் மேற்பட்ட இது போன்ற இடங்களைக் குறித்து வைத்துள்ளனர். அவற்றில்   கீழடியில் மட்டுமே அகலாய்வு நடைபெற்றுள்ளது.  அவர்கள் குறித்து வைத்துள்ள 100 க்கும் மேலான அனைத்து இடங்களிலும் கீழடி போன்று பழமையான நாகரிகம் புதையுண்டுள்ளன.   இதை அவர்கள் கொள்கையளவில் ஒத்துக் கொள்கின்றனர்.  போதிய நிதியாதாரம் வழங்கப்பட்டால் இது அவர்களால் சாத்தியமே.

என்னைப் பொறுத்த மட்டில் மனிதன் ஆற்றங்கரை நாகரிகத்தில் மட்டுமே வளர்ந்தான் என்பதை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ள மாட்டேன்.  ஆற்றங்கரை தவிர்த்து வேறு எங்கெல்லாம் நீர் நிலைகள் இருந்தனவோ அங்கெல்லாம்  மரஞ்செடிகொடிகள் இருந்துள்ளன, மனிதர்களும் வாழ்ந்துள்ளனர் என்றே கருதுகிறேன்.

சுயம்புலிங்கங்கள் எல்லாம் பழமையான மரங்களின் படிபம் ஆகும். எனவே சுயம்பு லிங்கங்கள் உள்ள ஊர்கள் எல்லாம் மிகவும் பழமையான ஊர்களே ஆகும். இங்கெல்லாம் அகழ்வாராய்ச்சி நடைபெற்றால் தமிழரின் தொன்மை  உறுதியாகும்.

அடுக்கடுக்காய் மண் படிய வாய்ப்பு இல்லை.
எனவே இது வைகையாற்றுப் பெருக்கினால் உண்டானது அல்ல.

ஆனால்
12ஆவது படலத்தில், சுந்தரபாண்டியன் தனது மகன் உக்கிரபாண்டியனிடம் "இந்திரனும் (கடலும்), வருணனும் (மழையும்) உனக்குப் பகைவர் ஆவர்" என்று கூறியதாகச் செய்தி உள்ளது. அதாவது  கடல் ஊர்ந்து அழிக்கும், மழை பெய்யாமல் அழிக்கும் என்று அறிவுறுத்தியுள்ளார்.
எனவே பண்டைத்தமிழர் சுனாமியின் தாக்கம் பற்றி நன்கு அறிந்துள்ளனர் என்பதே உண்மை.

கீழடியில் மனிதனின் எலுப்புகளோ மிருகங்களின் எலும்புகளோ கிடைக்கப் பெறவில்லை.  ஆனால்  மனிதர் பயன்படுத்திய பொருட்கள் கிடைத்துள்ளன. எனவே போட்டது போட்டபடி கிடக்கக் கீழடியிலிருந்த மக்கள் தப்பித்துச் சென்றுள்ளனர் என எண்ணத் தோன்றுகிறது.

அக் கால கட்டத்தில், கிலேசியர் கீழடியில் இல்லை. சுனாமி எப்பொழுதும் மதுரைப் பகுதிகளில் இல்லை.

In 1989, Hurricane Hugo brought gusts of nearly 100 miles per hour to Charlotte, North Carolina, 175 miles inland from landfall and caused significant damage as far away as West Virginia and Pennsylvania.

175 மைல் என்பது சுமார் 275 கிமி....தாராளமாக மதுரையை ஊழிப்பிரளய கால வெள்ளம் தாக்கியிருக்க முடியும்.

அத்துடன் அது Valdivia ஆற்றின்  கழிமுகப்பகுதி.

மேலும் கடலில் ஆறு கலக்குமிடத்தின்    இருபுறமும் மலைகள் 300 மீட்டர் உயரம் வரை கூட இருக்கிறது.  இது எந்த அளவு தாக்கத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியிருக்கக்கூடும் என்பது எனக்குப் புரியவில்லை.

(அதாவது, பூம்புகார்,  நாகை, கடலூர் போன்ற இடங்களுடன் ஒப்பிடும்பொழுது )

"Noah's Flood" Not Rooted in Reality, After All?

The ancient flood that some scientists think gave rise to the Noah story may not have been quite so biblical in proportion, a new study says.

Researchers generally agree that, during a warming period about 9,400 years ago, an onrush of seawater from the Mediterranean spurred a connection with the Black Sea, then a largely freshwater lake. That flood turned the lake into a rapidly rising sea. (See a map of the region.)

A previous theory said the Black Sea rose up to 195 feet (60 meters), possibly burying villages and spawning the tale of Noah's flood and other inundation folklore.

But the new study—largely focused on relatively undisturbed underwater fossils—suggests a rise of no more than 30 feet (10 meters).

New Flood Evidence

Marine geologist Liviu Giosan and colleagues carbon-dated the shells of pristine mollusk fossils, which the researchers say bear no evidence of epic flooding.

Found in sediment samples taken from where the Black Sea meets the Danube River, the shells "weren't eroded, agitated, or moved," said Giosan, of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Massachusetts. "We know the mud is exactly the same age as the shells and so can determine what the sea level was about 9,400 years ago."

The results suggest the Black Sea rose 15 to 30 feet (5 to 10 meters), rather than the 150 to 195 feet (50 to 60 meters) first suggested 13 years ago by Columbia University geologist William Ryan and colleagues. Ryan declined to be interviewed for this story.

Dueling Theories of Noah's Flood

In 1993 a Black Sea expedition found evidence of former shorelines and coastal dunes at depths of up to 390 feet (120 meters).

Researchers said these areas had been flooded when the Mediterranean and the Sea of Marmara—which lies between the Mediterranean and the Black Sea—breached a rocky barrier across the Bosporus, the Turkish strait that links the Maramara with the Black Sea.

Before such a flood, Ryan and colleagues said the flooded regions may have been rife with agricultural settlements. His research supports the notion that the flood submerged some 62,000 square miles (100,000 square kilometers), driving out farmers in droves, thereby supercharging the agricultural development of Europe, to the west.

However, Giosan's new study, which appears in the January issue of the journalQuaternary Science Reviews, indicates a less catastrophic influx, submerging only about 1,240 square miles (2,000 square kilometers).

That's because, according to the new study, the Black Sea's pre-flood water levels were significantly higher than Ryan's study suggested. As a result, there may have been much less water cascading through the Bosporus and onto the exposed continental shelf surrounding the Black Sea.

The ages of the shell fossils detailed in Giosan's report hint that the pre-flood sea surface was only 95 feet (30 meters) lower than it is today. Columbia's Ryan, by contrast, suggests the Black Sea's rise has been at least 150 feet (50 meters) since reconnecting with the Mediterranean some 9,400 years ago.

Nail in Noah's-Flood Coffin?

Giosan's analysis points to a reconnection that was "quite mild," said Mark Siddall, an oceanographer at the University of Bristol in the U.K. who was not involved with the study.

"It looks like the connection may have involved an overspill from the Sea of Marmara of just a few meters," Siddall added.

Tony Brown, a paleo-environmentalist at the University of Southampton in the U.K., said he fully supports Giosan and colleagues' new findings.

"This seems to be a further nail in the coffin of the Ryan hypothesis," Brown said.

"I hope this will counter some recent catastrophist and misguided accounts of the spread of farming across Europe by what is likely a mythical flood."

நீங்கள் படத்தில் காட்டியுள்ள வால்திவ்யா படம் “BEDDING “ அமைப்பைக் காட்டுகிறது. அவ்வளவே. இந்தப் படிவங்கள்  கடலாலோ, ஆற்றினாலோ, ஏரியிலோ  உருவாகி இருக்கலாம். இவற்றிலுள்ள மணல், சிறுமணல் , களிமண் இவற்றை ஆய்ந்து இவற்றில் கடல் வாழ் உயிரினங்களின் எச்சங்கள் உள்ளனவா என ஆய்வு செய்ய வேண்டும் . இருப்பின் அவை கடல் சார் படிவங்கள் எனும் முடிவுக்கு வர இயலும்.. குறிப்பாக அவற்றில் DIATOMS  போன்ற MICROSCOPIC  உயிரினங்கள் இருந்தால் அவை  கடலின் எந்த  ஆழத்திலிருந்து வந்தவை என்பதை கணிக்க இயலும். அவை ஆழ்கடல் உயிரினங்கள் எனின் சுனாமியால் கொண்டு வரப் பட்டவை  என  கருத  வாய்ப்புண்டு.

வால்திவ்யா  கடற்கரையோரம் இருப்பதாக நண்பர் ஒருவர்குறிப்பிடிருந்தார். ஆதலின் நான் மேற்சொன்ன fossil evidence  அவர்கள் தீர்மானித்திருக்கலாம்.

 Physical Appearance: Colour and Smell மட்டுமே செய்துள்ளேன்.
இதன்படி கீழடி சுனாமியால் அழிந்துள்ளது என்று கருத்துத் தெரிவிக்கிறேன்.

இப்படி எல்லாம் எழுதுவது முறையற்ற செயல் மட்டுமல்ல தவறான செயலும் கூட. நிறத்தையும் மணத்தையும் கொண்டு கண் டுபிடிக்க இது “இரத்தினம் பட்டினம் பொடியா” என்ன. வேறு எங்கேனும் நீங்கள் palaeo tsunami deposits ஐ முகர்ந்து பார்த்ததுண்டா. அதை கீழடியுடன் ஒப்பிட்டீர்களா.

இக் கருத்தை நிறுவிடுவதற்கான முதல்நிலைதான் இது.

இருபுறமும் மலைகள் எனில் , கடல்நீர் உட்புகும் வேகம்  மிக மிக அதிகமாக இருக்கும். ஏன் எனில் கடல் நீர் பரவுவதை மலைகள் தடுத்து விடும்.

 

முன்பே சொன்னது போல் நாகையிலும் கடலூரிலும் மீனவ கிராமங்கள் , கடலுக்கு மிக அருகில் , மிகக் குறைந்த உயரத்தில் இருப்பதுதான் சேதத்திற்குக் காரணம்.

உங்களின் இந்த இழையில் பங்கேற்கக் கூடாது என எண்ணி இருந்தேன். ஆனால் நீங்கள் தொடர்ந்து புராணம் பாடிக் கொண்டிருப்பதால் –தவறான புவியியல் செய்திகளை தெரிவித்துக் கொண்டிருப்பதால் வேறு வழியின்றி மூக்கை நுழைக்கிறேன் .

நீங்கள் படத்தில் காட்டியுள்ள வால்திவ்யா படம் “BEDDING “ அமைப்பைக் காட்டுகிறது. அவ்வளவே. இந்தப் படிவங்கள்  கடலாலோ, ஆற்றினாலோ, ஏரியிலோ  உருவாகி இருக்கலாம். இவற்றிலுள்ள மணல், சிறுமணல் , களிமண் இவற்றை ஆய்ந்து இவற்றில் கடல் வாழ் உயிரினங்களின் எச்சங்கள் உள்ளனவா என ஆய்வு செய்ய வேண்டும் . இருப்பின் அவை கடல் சார் படிவங்கள் எனும் முடிவுக்கு வர இயலும்.. குறிப்பாக அவற்றில் DIATOMS  போன்ற MICROSCOPIC  உயிரினங்கள் இருந்தால் அவை  கடலின் எந்த  ஆழத்திலிருந்து வந்தவை என்பதை கணிக்க இயலும். அவை ஆழ்கடல் உயிரினங்கள் எனின் சுனாமியால் கொண்டு வரப் பட்டவை  என  கருத  வாய்ப்புண்டு.

விளக்கத்திற்கு  நன்றி திரு. சிங்கநெஞ்சம்.  

எனக்கு திருச்சி வெள்ளம் (1977 - நவம்பர் - 12&13 வார இறுதி)  ஒரு நேரடி அனுபவம்.  காலையில் குடமுருட்டி வெள்ளம் கொஞ்சம் கொஞ்சமாக ... அங்குலம் அங்குலமாக ஏறி ... நிலைப்படியுடன் முதல் படியோடு நின்றது.  ஆனால், இரவு வெள்ளம் கடகடவென்று வேகமாக, கொஞ்ச நேரத்தில் பல அடிகள்  ஏறியது. நாங்கள்   மொட்டை மாடிக்குச் சென்று தப்பினோம்.  

அப்பாவும் அம்மாவும் ஏதோ சாமான்களை காப்பாற்றலாம் என்று கீழே நேரம் கடத்த, வெள்ளம் ஏறும் வேகத்தைப் பார்த்து நாங்கள்(பிள்ளைகள்) பதறிக் கூச்சலிட்டு அலறியது  மறக்க முடியாத நினைவு.  பிறகு அவர்களும் மேலே வந்துவிட; கொஞ்ச நேரத்தில்  வெள்ளம்  மின்சாரம் வரும் மெயின் சுவிட்ச் பாக்சை நெருங்கத் தொடங்க, அப்பா இது ஆபத்து என்று டன்லப் நுரைபஞ்சு ரப்பர் மெத்தையைப் போட்டு எல்லோரையும் அதில் இருக்கச் சொன்னார்கள்.  கொஞ்ச நேரத்தில் நீர்  மின்சார இழைகளைத் தொட்டுவிடலாம் என்ற நேரத்தில்,   திருச்சி மின்சார வாரியத்தினர் மின்சாரத்தை நிறுத்தி விட்டனர்.  நகர் இருளில் மூழ்க, வெள்ளம் ஏற...மிகப்  பதட்டமான சூழ்நிலையே.  

அதிலிருந்து வெள்ளம் வரும் வேகம் என்பது எனது ஆர்வத்தைக் கவருவதாக மாறிவிட்டது.  சமீபத்திய சென்னை வெள்ளம் போன்றவை மீண்டும் நினைவைக் கிளறிவிடும்.

Coastal Geomorphology யைப் பொறுத்தே இது அமைகிறது. கடந்த சுனாமியின் போது , தமிழ்நாட்டின் பெரும்பாலான பகுதிகளில் சில நூறு மீ. வரை கடல் நீர் உட்புகுந்து , உடன் பின் வாங்கியது. ஏதோ ஒரு தாழ்வான பகுதியில் ( பெயர் மறந்து விட்டது) ஒரு கி.மீ. புகுந்ததாக ஆய்வு செய்த  நண்பர்கள் சொன்னார்கள்.  தாழ்வான பகுதிகளில் கடல் புகுவதில் நமக்கு பாதிப்பு ஒன்றும் இல்லை. ஆனால் அந்தப் பகுதிகளில் மக்கள் வசிக்கும் போதுதான் பெரும் சேதங்கள் விளைகின்றன. எ. கா. நாகை கீச்சாங்குப்பம் , கடலூர் சோனங்குப்பம் –சிங்காரத் தோப்பு.

மீண்டும் வணக்கம் செல்வன் ,

 

கிளேசியர் உருகுகையில் கடுமையான வெள்ளம் வருவதுடன், பெரும் பாறைகளும் இடம் பெயரும் ஐயா

 

கிளேசியர் உருகும் போது சலசலவென நீர் ஓடி வரும்.  காஷ்மீர் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் NEHNAAR  GLACIER,  லடாக் பள்ளத்தாக்கில் MACHOI GLACIERS,  SONMAARG GLACIERS  ஆகிய கிளேசியர்களில் ஆய்வு செய்தபோது இதனை நான் கண்டுள்ளேன். கிளேசியர்கள்   உருகி பின்வாங்கும் போது , அவை கொண்டுவந்த பெரும் பாறைகளும் சிறு கற்களும் பின்வாங்குவது இல்லை. அவை அப்படியே அங்கேயே ஓர் அணை போல் நிற்கும். இவற்றை  TERMINAL MORAINE  என்கிறோம். இவை கிளேசியர் உருகி வரும் நீரை தடுத்து ஏரி ஒன்றை உருவாக்கி விடுகின்றன. இவை  GLAIAL LAKES  என வழங்கப் படுகின்றன. நாளடைவில் இந்த ஏரிகள்  மிகப்பெரிய ஏரிகளாக மாறி விடுகின்றன. இமயமலையில் இது போன்ற ஏரிகள் ஆயிரக் கணக்கில் உள்ளன. ஒரு நிலையில் நீர்மட்டம் மிக உயர்ந்து , TERMINAL MORAINE ஐ உடைத்துக்கொண்டு மிகப் பெரும் வெள்ளம் உண்டாகிறது. இது GLACIAL LAKE BURST எனப்படுகிறது.. இந்த வெள்ளம் மிகப் பெரும் பாறைகளை அடித்துக்கொண்டு வந்து , கரையோர கிராமங்களை எதிர்பாராத விதத்தில் துவம்சம் செய்து விடுகின்றன.  

ஆக , கீழடிக்கும்  கிளேசியருக்கும் எந்த தொடர்பும் இல்லை என்பதை தெளிவு படுத்துகிறேன்.

இதுவரை PALAEO  TSUNMI DEPOSITS  , கடலிலிருந்து சில நூறு மீ. தூரத்தில்தான் கண்டறியப்பட்டுள்ளன.  மேலும் கீழடி படிவங்களைப் பார்த்தவுடனே அவை ஆறுசார் படிவங்கள் என்பது தெளிவாகிறது. கீழடி வைகை  ஆற்றிற்கு அருகே இருப்பது இந்தக் கருத்தை உறுதி  செய்கிறது. ஆதலின் இங்கே சுனாமி பற்றிய எண்ணமே யாருக்கும் வராது. நீங்கள் திருவிளையாடற் புராணத்தை முழுமையாக மனதிற்குள் ஏற்றிக் கொண்டதால் உங்களுக்கு இப்படி எண்ணம் வருகிறது.

இந்த மூன்றிலும் , தொடர்  என்பது continuous  எனும்  பொருளில்  வருகிறது. தொடர்ந்து வீழ்ந்து கொண்டிருக்கும் அருவி ' cascade'  ஆகாது.  மலையாள மங்கையரின் கூந்தலைபோல்  வளைந்து வளைந்து ,  வருவதே  ' cascade'  ஆகும். இதுதான் ஏன் ஆங்கிலப்  பேராசிரியரிடம் நான் அறிந்தது.  அகராதி  கூறும் பொருள் பல நேரங்களில் சரியாக இருப்பதில்லை.  நீங்கள்  கோபப் படவில்லை எனில் உங்கள் புவியியல் கட்டுரைகளில் நான் கண்ட மொழிபெயர்ப்புக்  குறைகளையும் எடுத்துரைக்கத் தயாராயிருக்கிறேன்.

தற்போது அகலாய்வுகள் நடைபெற்று வரும் இடம் பண்டைய மதுரையின் மேற்குக்கோபுர வீதி போன்றதொரு இடமாக இருக்குமோ என்று ஒரு ஐயம் எனக்குத் தோன்றியது. அதனால் நேற்றும் கீழடி சென்று பார்த்து வந்தேன்.  ஆனால் நான் நினைத்தது போன்றதொரு வீதிஅமைப்பில் கீழடியில் உள்ள கட்டிடங்கள் இல்லை.  இன்னும் கூடுதாலான இடங்களில் தோண்டிப்பார்த்தால்தான் புதையுண்டுள்ள நகரத்தின் வீதிஅமைப்பை என்னால் அறிந்து கொள்ள முடியும்.

ஐயா ‘இ‘னா அவர்களை ஒருமுறை அவரது இல்லத்தில் சந்தித்தேன். அப்போது அவர் என்னிடம் கல்மரத்தின் சிறுபகுதியொன்றை என்னிடம் கொடுத்தார்.

​அதைத்தான் கையில் வைத்துப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன்.

மதுரை அழகர்கோயில் எடுத்து வந்துள்ள பகுதியும்,  கையில் வைத்துள்ள இந்த கல்மரத்தின் பகுதியும் எவ்வாறு உள்ளன.  இவை இரண்டிற்கும் என்னென்ன வேறுபாடுகள் தெரிகின்றன என்பதுதான் நேற்யை ஆராய்ச்சி.

(வெட்டிவேலைதான், இருந்தாலும் சாப்பிட்ட சாப்பாட்டிற்கு வேறுவேலை இல்லாத காரணத்தினால் இதைப் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருந்தேன். நண்பர் ஒருவர்  XRD செய்து தருகிறேன் என்று கூறியுள்ளார்)

ஆனால் ஆட்டுக்கால் அம்மன் பற்றிக் கேள்விப்பட்டதில்லையே !

திரு.செயபாரதனிடம் மொழிபெயர்ப்புக்குறை இருப்பதாக அவரை மறுத்து யாருஞ் சொல்லிவிடமுடியாது. அப்படிச்சொல்வது எதையும் அவர் ஏற்க மாட்டார்.  தான் செய்ததே சரியென்று வாதாடுவார். ”முயலுக்கு மூன்று கால்.” என்று சொல்வதில் அவ்வளவு விழைவு. அருள்கூர்ந்து நீங்கள் எதையும் அவரோடு வாதாடிவிடாதீர்கள்.  அப்புறம் அவர் பாய்ந்து பிராண்டி விடுவார். காயம் நமக்குத்தான். இதில் கொஞ்சம் பட்டறிவு எனக்குண்டு.

The ancient flood that some scientists think gave rise to the Noah story may not have been quite so biblical in proportion, a new study says.

Researchers generally agree that, during a warming period about 9,400 years ago, an onrush of seawater from the Mediterranean spurred a connection with the Black Sea, then a largely freshwater lake. That flood turned the lake into a rapidly rising sea. (See a map of the region.)

A previous theory said the Black Sea rose up to 195 feet (60 meters), possibly burying villages and spawning the tale of Noah's flood and other inundation folklore.

But the new study—largely focused on relatively undisturbed underwater fossils—suggests a rise of no more than 30 feet (10 meters).

New Flood Evidence

Marine geologist Liviu Giosan and colleagues carbon-dated the shells of pristine mollusk fossils, which the researchers say bear no evidence of epic flooding.

Found in sediment samples taken from where the Black Sea meets the Danube River, the shells "weren't eroded, agitated, or moved," said Giosan, of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute in Massachusetts. "We know the mud is exactly the same age as the shells and so can determine what the sea level was about 9,400 years ago."

The results suggest the Black Sea rose 15 to 30 feet (5 to 10 meters), rather than the 150 to 195 feet (50 to 60 meters) first suggested 13 years ago by Columbia University geologist William Ryan and colleagues. Ryan declined to be interviewed for this story.

Dueling Theories of Noah's Flood

In 1993 a Black Sea expedition found evidence of former shorelines and coastal dunes at depths of up to 390 feet (120 meters).

Researchers said these areas had been flooded when the Mediterranean and the Sea of Marmara—which lies between the Mediterranean and the Black Sea—breached a rocky barrier across the Bosporus, the Turkish strait that links the Maramara with the Black Sea.

Before such a flood, Ryan and colleagues said the flooded regions may have been rife with agricultural settlements. His research supports the notion that the flood submerged some 62,000 square miles (100,000 square kilometers), driving out farmers in droves, thereby supercharging the agricultural development of Europe, to the west.

However, Giosan's new study, which appears in the January issue of the journalQuaternary Science Reviews, indicates a less catastrophic influx, submerging only about 1,240 square miles (2,000 square kilometers).

That's because, according to the new study, the Black Sea's pre-flood water levels were significantly higher than Ryan's study suggested. As a result, there may have been much less water cascading through the Bosporus and onto the exposed continental shelf surrounding the Black Sea.

The ages of the shell fossils detailed in Giosan's report hint that the pre-flood sea surface was only 95 feet (30 meters) lower than it is today. Columbia's Ryan, by contrast, suggests the Black Sea's rise has been at least 150 feet (50 meters) since reconnecting with the Mediterranean some 9,400 years ago.

Nail in Noah's-Flood Coffin?

Giosan's analysis points to a reconnection that was "quite mild," said Mark Siddall, an oceanographer at the University of Bristol in the U.K. who was not involved with the study.

"It looks like the connection may have involved an overspill from the Sea of Marmara of just a few meters," Siddall added.

Tony Brown, a paleo-environmentalist at the University of Southampton in the U.K., said he fully supports Giosan and colleagues' new findings.

"This seems to be a further nail in the coffin of the Ryan hypothesis," Brown said.

"I hope this will counter some recent catastrophist and misguided accounts of the spread of farming across Europe by what is likely a mythical flood."

இதனால் மணவூர் பிரளயத்தில் உண்டான சுனாமியினால் அழிந்ததா? என அறிவியல் அடிப்படையில் உறுதி செய்ய இயலும். 

கலியுகம் துவங்கி 5100 வருடங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டது என்ற அடிப்படையில் இந்த மண் படிமங்கள் சுமார் 5100 வருடங்களுக்கு முற்பட்டதாக இருக்க வாய்ப்புகள் உள்ளன.

பிரளயத்தில் ஏற்பட்ட சுனாமியின் தாக்கங்களை நான் உணர்ந்து கொள்ளும் வகையில் தமிழகம் ஆந்திரம் கருநாடகம் முதலான மாநிலங்களில் உள்ள மலைகளின் உள்ள  granite பாறை இடுக்குகளில் மண்படிமங்களைப் பல இடங்களில் காண்டுள்ளேன்.   பர்மாவிலும் இதே போன்ற மண்திட்டுகளைக் கண்டுள்ளேன்.  இது போன்ற மண்திட்டுக்களை மதுரைவாசிகள் “பொக்குப்பாறை“ என்கின்றனர்.

இதுபோன்ற மண்படிமங்கள் தமிழகம் எங்கும் விரவிக் கிடக்கின்றன. என்றாலும், திருப்பரங்குன்றம் அழகர்கோயில் திருமலை முதலான மலைகளின் மேலே உள்ள கிரானைட் வகையிலான பறை இடுக்குகளில் இருந்து எடுக்கப்பெற்ற சில மண் மாதிரிகளை இத்துடன் இணைத்து அனுப்பியுள்ளேன். 

கலிகாலம் தோன்றி 5100 ஆண்டுகள் ஆகிவிட்டன என்ற கணக்கைக் கருத்தில் கொண்டால் இந்த மண்படிமங்கள் மலைமீது படிந்து சுமார் 5100 ஆண்டுகள் ஆகியிருக்க வேண்டும் என்று யூகிக்கிறேன்.  இத்தனை ஆண்டுகள் கடந்த நிலையில் இந்த மண்படிமங்களில் sea diatoms படிமங்கள் இதில் ஏதேனும் இருக்க வாய்ப்புகள் உள்ளனவா? எனத் தெரியவில்லை.

இருப்பினும், தாங்கள் அன்புள்ளம்கொண்டு இணைப்பில் உள்ள மண்மாதிரிகளில் sea diatoms படிமங்கள் ஏதேனும் காணக் கிடைக்கின்றனவா? எனக் கண்டறிந்து கூறிடுமாறு அன்புடன் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.

கிரானைட் பாறைகளின் இடுக்குகளில் படிந்திருந்து எடுக்கப்பட்ட எனது மண்மாதிரிகளில்

அல்லது

முதலில் நீங்கள் சுனாமி எனக்குறிப்பது எதனை ?

தமிழகத்து கடற்கரையில் வந்தது சுனாமியின் தாக்குதல் அவ்வளவே மிகப்பெருஅளவில் அல்ல எனலாம் முதலில் நா ம் காண்பதால் எல்லாம் பெரிதாகத்தெரிகின்றது என்பது என் எண்ணம்  

விளைந்தது மிகப்பெரு கடல் அலை தமிழகத்து கடற்கரை எங்கும் ஒரே நேரத்தில் அப்போது கடல் நீர் எப்போதும் முழுநிலவு கருநிலவு நாட்களில் உயர்ந்து வழியும் எனபதை விட சிறிது பெரிதானது 

அவ்வளவே 

கரையிலிருந்து 100 அடி சிலபோது 200 அடி தி தூரத்திற்கு கடல் னீர் சிறிது நேரம் புகுந்து நின்று ஒரு மணி நேரத்தில் அல்லது ஒருநாளில் வடிந்து   மீண்டும்உள்  சென்றது   

இதுதானே நம் நேரடியாகக் கண்ணால் கண்டது அல்லவா? 

இவவகை நிகழ்ச்சி தமிழகத்தில் முன் நடந்ததற்கு மிகச்சரியாக ஆவணம் சான்று கா ட்ட முடியவில்லை எனத்தெரிகின்றது 

ஆ னால் நீங்கள் சிலவற்றினை சான்றாகக் கா ட்ட நினைப்பது முன்பு சுனாமி வந்துள்ளதா எனும் 

வினாக்கருத்தில் 

மதுரை அதாவது நீங்கள் குறிக்கும் இன்றைய மதுரை கடற்கரையில் இருந்து   100 கி மீ க்கு மேல் ஆன தூரத்தில் உள்ளது அதனால் நேரடி நீரால் தாக்குதல் வந்திருக்க முடியாது மேலும் நீங்கள் குறிக்கும் சான்றுகள் மதுரைக்கும் முன் நிற்கும் ஊர்களிலும் அதனைவிட அதிகம் காணப்பட

வேண்டும் அல்லவா? அப்படி உள்ளதா என்பதை சரிபார்த்து மேலே செல்க என்பதும் என் கருத்து 

இன்றைய இமயமலை உண்டான போ து நகன்ற இரு பூமிப்பாளங்களுக்கு இடையில் சிக்குண்ட 

கடல்வாழ் உயிரினங்களின் மிச்சங்கள் நீரின் மிகுதியால் வெப்ப தாக்குதல் குறைந்து இருந்துள்ளதால் அவற்றின் கரி மப்பகுதி முற்றலும் அழிந்தாலும் சுண்ணாம்பு க்  கிளிஞ்சல் போன்ற பகுதிகள் நேபாளத்தில் சிவா லிக்கு குன்றுகளில் கிட்டுகின்றன சாளக்கிராமம் என மிகவும் விலைபோகும் பொருளாகவும் வழி ப்படும் கடவுளாகவும் நிலைபெற்றுள்ளது 

ஆ ப்புகானி சுத்தானம் பாக்கிசுத்தானம் போன்ற நாடுகளில் இன்றும் கடல்நீர்  உலர்ந்து பாறைப்பா ளமாகவே கருமை இளம் செம்மை (பலரகம்)  எனும் நிறத்தினில் உப்பு ஆழ்ந்த 

சுரங்கங்களால் காண்கின்றதும் கடன் நீர் இடையில் சிக்குண்டது கா ட்டா  நிற்கின்றது 

கடல் நுரை எனப்படும் வெளுத்த மிதக்கும் சிறு  மீன் வடிவ துண்டுகள்இன்று  எங்கும் பரந்த வெளியில் காண்பதற்கும் கல்லான எச்சங்களும் தொடர்பில்லை 

சோப்புகளில் கலக்கும் வெண்மையான எடைகுறைவான் நீர் உறிஞ்சும் வெண்ணிறத்தூள் பெரும் வாணிபப் பொருளாக கிட்டுவது கல்லாகிப்போன எச்சங்கள் அல்ல

மதுரையை மையமாகக் கொண்டு வடக்கே விந்தியசாத்பூரா மலைத்தொடர் வரையிலும், தெற்கே மாலத்தீவுத் தொடர்கள் முடிய
நான்கு மிகப் பெரிய சுனாமிகள் தோன்றி அழித்துள்ளன.

தற்போதைய கேரளம், தமிழகம், கருநாடகம், ஆந்திரம் முதலானவை முற்றாக கடலால் அழிந்துள்ளன.
தெற்கே தென்மதுரை, கபாடபுரம், பஃறுளியாறு, பன்பமலை அடுக்கம் எல்லாம் அழிந்துள்ளன.

இந்தப் பெருஞ் சுனாமினால் நாகமலை பசுமலை பன்றிமலைகள் புதிதாகத் தோன்றியுள்ளன.

நண்பர் இரவிச்சந்திரன் அவர்களுக்கு வணக்கம்.

அறுபடைவீடு பாதயாத்திரை முடித்து நலமுடன் இன்று வீடு திரும்பியுள்ளேன்.  தமிழகத்தைக் கடல்கொண்டது என்பதை நிரூபணம் செய்திடக், கிரானைட் பாறை இடுக்களில் படிந்துள்ள மண் திட்டுகளில் கடல்வாழ் உயிரினங்களில் எச்சங்கள் ஏதும் உள்ளனவா? எனக் கண்டறிப்பட வேண்டியுள்ளது.  

கீழடியில் கண்டெடுக்கப்பட்ட கரித்துண்டு 2100 வருடங்கள் பழமையானது எனக் கூறப்படுவதன் அடிப்படையிலும், கலியுகம் ஆரம்பித்து 5111 வருடங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டன எனக் கூறப்படுவதன் அடிப்படையிலும், தமிழகத்தைப் பிரளயத்தில் தோன்றிய பெருஞ்சுனாமிகள் தாக்கிக் குறைந்தது 2100-5100 வருடங்கள் ஆகியிருக்க வாய்ப்புகள் அதிகம் எனக் கருதுகிறேன். 

மேலும், இந்த மண்மாதிரிளை sea diatoms ஆய்வுகள் செய்தாலும், "No trace of marine organisms found in this sample" என்றுதான் முடிவுகள் இருக்கும் என ஐயா சிங்கநெஞ்சம் அவர்கள் கருத்துத் தெரித்து உள்ளார்கள்.  

எனவே, sea diatoms  மண்ணில் படிந்து இரண்டாயிரம் ஆண்டுகள் ஆகியிருந்தால் அவை எவ்வாறு மாற்றம் பெற்றிருக்கும் என்பதையும் கருத்தில் கொண்டு ஆய்வுகள் செய்ய வேண்டியிருக்கும். இதனால் usual lab testing  முறைகளைக் கொண்டு கண்டறிவது கடினமாக இருக்குமா? என எனக்குத் தெரியவில்லை.  

அப்படியிருந்தால்,  தாங்கள் innovative method ஏதேனும் ஒன்றைக் கண்டறிந்து, அதனடிப்படையில் இந்த மண்மாதிரிகளை ஆய்வுகள் செய்ய நேரிடலாம்.

தமிழரின் தொன்மையைத் தங்களது ஆய்வு முடிவுகள் உலகறியச் செய்ய வேண்டும் என அன்புடன் கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறேன்.
