விநாயக சதுர்த்தி வேறு விமரிசையாகவும் கொண் டாடுவதாக சொல்லியுள்ளனர் அந்த உருவம் முன் ஓர் இரும்பு வேல் நிறுத்தப்பட்டு முனீசுவரன் துணை எனவும் எழுதியுள்ளாராம் 

இருபுறமும் யக்ஷ சாத்திரதார சிற்பங்கள் காணலாமாம் திருப்பள்ளிமலை எங்குள்ளது என இப்போது எனக்குத்தெரியவில்லை

ஆனால் சென்னையில் திருப்பள்ளித்தெரு என ஒன்று உன்டு அறிவேன் 

முற்காலத்தில் பள்ளி எனும் சொல் பவுத்த சமண நிறுவனங்களுக்கு பெயர்

 பிற்காலத்தில் முகமதிய கிருத்துவ நிறுவனங்களுக்கும்  வழங்குவது முறையாகியுள்ளது

DESERTED JAIN SCULPTURES (PUDUKOTTAI - TAMIL NADU)

History was standing everywhere in Pudukottai. Historically it had been a huge Jain area with Jain sculptures, Jain Monuments and Jain Beds in caverns everywhere. 

Proof of this Jain inhabitance is here ever since 2nd C BC. We did spot several several deserted Jain sculptures everywhere. However many of them had their head chopped off which was done during the 12th C AD during the social, religious unrest that happened in this part of the world.

One was this. This Jain Thirthankara is Thiruppalli Malai Azhvar. His head too is missing. However today he is worshipped as Lord Vinayaka. Vinayaka Chathurthi is celebrated here in full swing with head and trunk made out of sandalwood & turmeric paste and fixed onto this Thirthankara sculpture! There were broken loose sculptures of Yaksha and Chatradhara (fan bearer) beside. 

There was a iron spear kept in front of him, kept very recently which read 'Sri Muneeswaran Thunai' who is a local diety!!!

THE ALURUTTIMALAI (ஆளுருட்டிமலை)

The Aluruttimalai, also known as Ammachatram (அம்மாசத்திரம்) hill, is one among the Narttamalai group of hills. It is situated north of Kottai-malai (கோட்டைமலை) and is the northern most among the Narttamalai-hill group. It is famous for a natural cavern with polished stone beds and other Jaina remnants.

The name Aluruttimalai means ‘man-rolling-hill’. This is an elongated mass of rock with continuous steep incline on the northern side and a sheer drop of over a hundred feet high on the south. According to a local tradition, in former times criminals were rolled over the edge of this steep cliff so that they were dashed to pieces on the rocks at the bottom. Some say they were tied up in sacks and rolled down the steep slope.

APPROACH

One can reach this place by taking a diversion from the Pudukkottai – Tiruchirappalli (திருச்சிராப்பள்ளி) highway at Ammachatram bus stop, the next stop after Narttamalai, when you come from Pudukkottai. A mud road branches off the main road to the west, near a beautiful pond with well-laid stone steps and containing full of lilies. This pond is called Ammachatram urani (அம்மாச்சத்திரம் ஊரணி). A walk/drive of about one kilometer takes the visitors to the vicinity of the Aluruttimalai.

THE NATURAL CAVERN AND JAINA VESTIGES

On the eastern side of the Aluruttimalai, at the bottom of the hillock, is the natural cavern, facing east. One can see this natural cavern from the main road itself.

On the rock over-hanging the cave are two relief sculptures of Tirthankara-s sitting in dhyanam (தியானம், meditation). Both of them have mukkodai (முக்கொடை, triple umbrella) above them, indicating them to be Tirthankara-s (தீர்த்தங்கரர்). The one on the northern side has two attendants holding fly-whiskers, flying vidhya-dhara-s (வித்யாதாரர்).

On the floor of this cave are four polished stone beds similar to those in the Ezhadippattam (ஏழடிப்பட்டம்) inSittannavasal (சித்தன்னவாசல்). Two of them have been so hewn as to form a double bed, and two others are single beds.

There is also a broken sculpture of a Tirthankara, sitting in dhyanam (meditative). The Tirthankara is flanked by two attendants holding fly-whiskers and there are two flying figures of Vidhya-dhara-s on the top.

There is a damaged Tamil inscription (PSI 474) in front of the cave, towards south, on the sloping rock. It belongs to the reign of an unidentified Mara-varman Sundara-pandya (மாரவர்மன் சுந்தரபாண்டியன்). The inscription calls this hill Thiruppalli-malai (திருப்பள்ளிமலை, ‘hill-containing-palli’), palli meaning a Jain temple, and mentions two Jaina acharya-s, Dharma-deva Acharya (தர்மதேவ ஆசிரியர்), and his guru Kanaka Chandra Pandita (கனகசந்திர பண்டிதர்).

In the bushes and among the granite boulders, in front of the cavern are a few broken parts of some granite structure. All these evidence the great antiquity of the cave as a place of resort for the Jain-s.

இப்போதுதான் அங்கு சென்று வந்துள்ளேன் சுனைக்குழி குடைவறை  சிவன் கோயிலுக்காக 

இப்போது நினைவிற்கு வருகின்றது 

பொம்முடி (மலை) எனும் இடத்தில் உள்ளதுதான் வேல் நடப்பட்டுள்ளது பக்கத்தில் பெண் உ ருவங்கள் உள்ளன 

வலைப்பதிவில் உள்ளது தான் ஆ னால் அது பதிவாள ருக்கு கிட்டியபோது மஞ்சள் சந்தண துதிக்கை அலங்கரம் 

செய்துள்ளனர் ஆகலாம் ஆனால் இப்போது அப்படி இல்லை அதனாலதான் ஐயப்பாடு எனக்கு எழுந்துள்ளது 

 மேலும் அவர் வைத்த கல்வெட்டு  வாசகம் உங்களை அப்படி என நினைக்கத்தூண்டுகின்றது  மேலும் அந்த பதிவாளர் 

காட்டிய கல்வெட்டுக்குறிப்பிற்கும் சிற்பத்திற்கும் தொடர்புஎப்படி என்று கல்வெட்டு படித்துதான் சொல்லவேண்டும் 

நீங்கள் காட்டும் ஆளுருட்டி மலை சிற்பம் வேறு  கல்வெட்டு உள்ள இடம் வேறு 

நா ன் கவனித்து வருகிறேன் இந்த தனியார் வைக்கும் தகவல்கள் முற்றிலும் சரியானது  எடுத்துக்கொள்ளமுடியாது

நாளேட்டின் முகவர் போல் கள த்தில் மக்கள் என்ன சொல்கிறார்களோ அப்படியேபொறுப்பில்லாமல் எழுதிவிடுகிறார்கள் 

எடுத்துக்காட்டு இந்த கோயில் 3500 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையானது என்று எவனோ முட்டாள் சொன்னால் அதை அப்படியே

 எழுதிவிடுவது அறிவுடைமை யா??எல்லோருக்கும் எல்லாம் சரியாகத்தெரியாது  அவரவர்கள் அறிவு சென்றவழிதான்

 கிட்டும்  எனவே எல்லாவற்றையும் நன் கு ஆய்வு  செய்துதான் ஏற்கவேண்டும் 

YOUTUBE அதனில் வரும் எத்தனை அறிவிற்கு பொருத்தமில்லாதவை காண்கின்றோம் வெறும் பரபரப்பினுக்கு என யாரும்

 கேட்க முடியது என எழுதி தள்ளிவிடுகின்றனர் (இராசராசன் இறப்பில் உள்ள மர்மம் என்ன போன்றவை எல்லைஇல்லமல் செல்கின்றது

இந்த மடலில் உள்ளது பற்றி மட்டும் பாருங்கள் எத்தனை கணக்கற்ற குளறு படிகள் 

(1) வைத்த  படத்தில் உள்ள சிற்பம் உள்ள இடத்தில் கூகால் மெப்சு பொம்முடி எனக்கா ட்டுகின்றது  (கூகள் வரைபடம் வழி கிட்டும் படம்) 

(2) பொம்முடி என்பது அங்குள்ள நார்த்த மலை போல பல  மலைகளில் தனியான ஒன்று தான் >> ஆய்ந்து

   =செவிவழி கிட்டியது மற்றும்   பற்பல பதிவிவுகளிலிருந்து தேர்ந்து உண்மைதான் யாகும் என முடிவுசெய்தது  இப்பொது கல் உடைக்கின்ரார்கள் 

 (3) இதே பெயருடைய இடம் பொம்முடி என வேறொன்றும்சேலம் அருகு இரயிலடியுடன் உள்ளது அதனை நான்கே அறிவேன் அதனால் நா ன் கலக்கமுறவில்லை 

(4) இந்த படத்தில் இருக்கின்ற சிலை பொம்முடி எனக்காட்டினாலும் இருக்கின்ற இடம் சத்தியமங்கலம் எனக்கா ட்டுகின்றது வேறு பல சத்தியமங்கலங்கள் உள்ளன

பொம்முடி ஓர் மலையின் பொதுவான பெயர் 

(5) பதிவகி யுள்ள சிற்பத்தின்  இடம் (படம்) நார்த்தாமலை என்பது தவறு நார்த்தமலை எனும் இரயிலடிக்கு மேற்கில் பொம்முடியில்  உள்ளது ஆனால் நார்த்தமலை  என்பது மிகவும்

மேற்காக ஆளுருட்டி மலைக்கும் பொம்மிடி மலைக்கு நடுவில் உள்ள சாலையில் சென்றால்தான் வரும்    வரைபடத்தில் 2 இடத்தில் நார்த்தாமலை ரயிலடி காட்டுகின்றது 

(6) நா ன் என்னுடைய   பயணத்தில் நார்த்தாமலை ரயில் இறங்க நினைத்திருந்தேன்ஆ  னால் திருச்சியிலேயே அறிந்தேன் அங்கு ரயிலடி என இருந்தாலும் பாசங்கர் வண்டி

கூட நிற்காது என்று இருந்த ரயிலடிக்கு இருந்தாலும்  என்ன ஆயிற்று என யாருக்கும் சொல்லத்தெரியவில்லை அதற்கு டிக்கட் கொடுப்பதில்லை அவ்வளவுதான் கிட்டிய செய்தி 

(7) வைத்த  படத்தில் உள்ள சிற்பத்திற்கும் ஆளுரிட்டி மலைக்கும் தொடர்பில்லை வெகுதூரத்தில் வடக்காக உள்ளதுஆளுருட்டிமலை   பொம்முடிக்குத்தான் தொடர்பு உள்ளது 

நீங்கள் காட்டியுள்ள படங்கள்தான் ஆளுருட்டி மலை தொடர்புடையது 

(8)அந்த கல்வெட்டு வாசகம் பொம்முடி மலையில் உள்ளது சாலை ஓரத்திலுள்ள பதிவில் உள்ள (பிள்ளையாரானது)சிற்பத்திற்கு மிகவும் மேற்காக உள்ளது ஆகவேண்டும் 

(9) முன்பு ஒரு கைகட்டி மஞ்சள் நிற சிமெண்டுப்பல கை சமணர்கள் தொடர்புடன் எங்கும் இருப்பதன் வடிவத்தில் இருப்பது ஆளுருட்டி மலை என எழுதி இருந்துள்ளது அதனை இப்போது

    மேலேயே  வர்ணம் மாற்றி அம்மாசத்திரம் என எழு தியுள்ளார்கள் இதுதான் ஆளுருட்டி மலைக்கு செல்ழும் வழி காட்டுகின்றது  

(10) பதிவில் உள்ள சிற்பம் அருகு உள்ள  மஞ்சள் நிற அறிவிப்புப்பலகை நார்த்தாமலை எனக்கட்டுகின்றது ஏனெனில் சிறிது தள்ளி நார்த்தமலைக்கு சாலை திரும்பவே காட்டும் படம்

 சரியக பொம்முடி சத்திய மங்கலம் என இருக்க வேண்டும் 

இங்கு நான் எழுதியதிலேயே குழம்பி போயிருப் பீர்கள் இப்பொது வைத்துள்ள படங்களைப் பார்க்க 

இதனில் உள்ளதுதான் வழிபட்டில் உள்ளதாக பேசப்படுவது பதிவாளர் ஆண்டு வேறு அவ்வளவே

 சுந்தரம் கல்வெட்டுபடித்தால் நீங்கள் குறித்துள்ளதா என அறியலாம்
