We have a job opening for the position of Senior Material Cataloging Engineer for Al-Hosn Gas (ADNOC Group)

 

Location:  Abu Dhabi

 

Qualifications Needed:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering / Mechanical Engineering. 

 

Experience in Years:

 

Minimum 10 years of total experience with 5 years in a supervisory position. 

 

Job Description:

 

·         Assists in the development and implementation of section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / legislative requirements are fulfilled.

 

·         Supervises the day-to-day operations of concerned section to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures.

 

·         Assigns and instructs Material Engineers to perform material cataloguing for all incoming requests covering standard stock, projects and direct charge materials.

 

·         Assigns and instructs subordinates to perform material master reviewing and updating based on new information or advice received from manufacturers, suppliers and technical books and publications.

 

·         Supervises subordinates in screening out redundant or inaccurate descriptions in draft tender quotation sheets by checking drafts in order to provide purchasing section a final version of the tender sheets.

 

·         Supervises the preparation of timely and accurate departmental reports which conform to Company and department requirements, policies and standards.

 

·         Assists in the preparation of the concerned section budget by preparing analysis and data related to specific elements as directed.

 

·         Supervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in accordance with set individual targets.

 

·         Ensures compliance to all relevant safety, health and environmental procedures in the section in order to promote a healthy and safe work environment.

·         MATERIALs Cataloguing Project (MRO stock & non stock)

 

·         Annual Stock Taking (MRO Stock Items)

 

·         Making Price Agreement & BPO in MAXIMO

 

·         Importing/Exporting in MAXIMO

 

·         Review and update inventory parameters

 

·         Supplier Evaluation and standardization

Computer skill set:

Minimum 8 years of total experience with 3 years in a supervisory position. 

 

Job Description:

 

·         Coding and cataloguing preparation for items.

·         Identify and assign Noun-Modifiers for each item allocated.

·         Assign MESC Codes.

·         Prepare missing information to be sent to the site team.

·         Receive missing information and ensuring updating into the database.

·         Responsible for maintaining masters including Characteristics, Vendor, etc.

·         Initial study of their Content materials system

·         Review the item according to the logic maintained

·         Maintain the items in the appropriate logic

·         The scrutiny on vendor codes should be carried out and updated for each manufacturer, the queries on vendor codes should be send and same to be  updated.

·         The Equipment manufacturer with part number and Original manufacturer with part number availability for each item should be confirmed by full checking of manufacturer list.

·         The items should be checked in online SAP according to part number wise for spares and material code for formatted generic items. The SAP number should be taken down if the items are available already in SAP.

·         The duplication of SAP code found for some items should be send for approval and one of the SAP code is retained as per confirmation.

·         All the items should be formatted to 40 characters abbreviated description as per big rules standards.
