Joel's message about the dragonfly reminded me that I never sent off my
photo of an October dragonfly that I'd like to have identified, since I
know zip about them. I think it is okay to send photos to this list?
Photo taken Oct. 11 over our pond, near Grand Ronde Agency, Yamhill Co.,
1 mile from Polk County line.

That's a male Shadow Darner (Aeshna umbrosa), a very common species in late summer and fall. Nice flight shot!
