mystery shrub

Could someone tell me what this shrub is? It is growing by our creek
(Agency Creek, Yamhill County). I have never noticed the flowers on it
before but a hummingbird certainly was enjoying them today. I can't find
it in my plants of the northwest books or keys. Thanks!
