Aug 8, 2017 MicroProfile Hangout announcements - marketing activities and support - help needed

Hello All,

As you probably know, there are two announcements taking place during the upcoming August 8, 2017 MicroProfile Hangout call.  They are:

1) MicroProfile 1.1 release

2) Unveiling of the new MicroProfile logo

I've been thinking about the following marketing activities that we need to support:

1) Social Media announcements

1.1) One announcement (a la press release) to be posted on MicroProfile.io blog site (is the blog site ready?).  If the blog site capabilities for MicroProfile.io will not be ready by August 8, we need to create a page on MicroProfile.io announcing MicroProfile 1.1 release. Any volunteers to write the announcement?

1.2) Media blasts pointing to the announcement blog post on: LinkedIn, Facebook, G+, and Twitter. Any volunteers to take care of the social media blasts?

1.3) An announcement posting done on MicroProfile Google Group. Any volunteers to write this post?

2) Invitation to Analysts or Press. Who could we invite? Forrester, Gartner, SDTimes, The Register, Voxxed, JAX, DZone, who else? Does anybody have good contacts at any of these outlets that you can reach out to make sure they attend the call? Any volunteers to reach out and make sure these outlets attend the call?

3) For the day of the Aug 8 meeting, we will need:

3.1) A 5-slide presentation on the new MicroProfile logo (Theresa and Cesar will prepare this)

3.2) A 5-slide presentation on MicroProfile 1.1 (Emily J./Mark S./Cesar)
