How to disable the metrics registry?

I need to turn off the metrics registry, while running performances tests.
I don't see any method to disable it in 'com.yammer.metrics.core.MetricsRegistry' other than shutdown?

I don't believe you can disable the registry. That being said, if you are planning on using metrics when you are in production than you should leave them on for a more realistic performance test anyway. There is another post that discusses this same topic I'll try and find it and post a link
