Wow, the install was nice and simple! SlimPort worked fine. Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are working, after replacing batteries. However - is there a privacy policy for Maru? I did a portscan and all the ports on my phone are closed (Good!). I'd like to know what privacy policies are in effect, and if maybe anyone's used wireshark to check if the phone is chatty. I'd like to install KeePass2 and ownCloud, but would like to check how secure the OS is first.

And anyone else running ownCloud? I went out and tried to install the Debian 8.0 ownCloud client package from the ownCloud server. It depends on owncloud-client-i10n package, but I'm getting dependency issues trying to install it. Anyone have a quick howto?

Not really a solution, more a workaround for the problem. maybe installing the owncloud app on android os and use the shared folder of Android and Debian to transfer data from owncloud?

I'll have a look into this tomorow, since i also use owncloud, and would be cool to get it working :)

I've got it running!!!! First I tried installing the Debian client off ownCloud's page by ediiting my sources.list. It was pretty ugly (I had no problem doing it for my Ubuntu laptop and netbook - but there might be issues with armhf maybe?). I then removed my sources.list for owncloud and simply installed from Debian sources. No love at all. I kept getting errors trying to connect to my server, because the Debian version is 1.7.x and you need > 2.x to connect to a newer owncloud server.

The part that worked! Install owncloud-client from Debian backports. That gets you a fully working client with gui, which is happily synching my Documents, Music, Pictures and Videos directories to my phone. It didn't work at first, but after a reboot it's working. Not sure why, as I normally never reboot - but it is working and synching more than 18 gigs of stuff and things.

apt-get -t jessie-backports install owncloud-client - did the trick!

I haven't tried KeePass2 yet. That's next on my list.

I use lastpass as a password manager and the extension installed fine for iceweasel.
