Hey everyone!
  • Twitch bills very erratically (1 month from the date of subscription), Twitch Prime subs do not auto renew, and Patreon is taking awhile to reprocess declines from the 1st of the month.
    • Because of all this, I'm going to be implementing a Perk Continuity policy that will make it easier for me to manage the subscriber database from month to month.
  • Under the old system, if your sub lapsed, your perks were deactivated immediately.
  • Going forward: Any subscriber whose sub on Twitch or Patreon lapses will have a 30-day grace period to reactivate before perks are deactivated.
    • Subscribers with <3 months subbed will still lose perks until their sub is reactivated.
    • Under existing rules, Twitch Prime-only subs must reactivate their sub at least (or have been subscribed on another platform in the past) once to be added to the Sub Block rotation.
  • I will be updating the subscriber database once a month, which means checking the current subscriber list emailed by Twitch and reviewing the Patron Manager at Patreon.
    • Lapsed subs will be put into a Continuity Drop = Yes status.
      • If their sub is active again the next time I update the database, their Perks will persist as if there was no drop in continuity. The status will be cleared.
      • If their sub is still inactive the next time I update the database, their Perks will be canceled.
    • Users in Continuity Drop status will still enjoy the following Perks:
      • Part of the Sub Block Rotation
      • Live SP Multiplier
      • Custom SFX
      • Permanent Game Slot
    • Users in Continuity Drop status will see the following Perks withheld until their sub reactivates:
      • In-Stream Scrolling Shout Out (# Months will be updated when sub reactivates)
      • In-Stream Chat Badge (# Months will be updated when sub reactivates)
      • Monthly SP Bonus (Will be withheld and released all at once when sub reactivates)
  • Because of Twitch's erratic billing, it's possible a sub will be scheduled for expiration or for rebilling after I finish my monthly review.
    • Subs which are still pending will be placed into a Continuity Drop = Pending status.
      • This status has no effect whatsoever on Subscriber Perks, it's just a reminder for me to double check that billing actually went through as expected when I update the database the following month.
*****

This means that all subs with 3+ months subbed will effectively get an extra month of Sub Perks for free if they're forced to actually cancel, but that's fine by me -- I really appreciate everyone for supporting the stream in the first place.
  • I don't expect any of the current subs to do anything like this, but to keep this from being abused: Any attempts to abuse this continuity system will be met with reversal of any rewarded perks, all SP spent voting, and probably a ban from the stream.
    • This system is intended to help out folks with expired credit cards, Twitch Prime folks who take a few days to get around to renewing their sub, and folks who subbed on a wonky day of the month compared to when I do my monthly updates.
    • We won't allow attempts to sub for 30 days, cancel for 29 days, and resub repeatedly to extend perks.
Thanks!
