জেলা প্রধান (District Leader) প্রোগ্রাম আপডেট

[Bangladesh Map Maker]

ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশের পক্ষ থেকে জেলা প্রধান মনোনায়ন করার প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে। জেলা প্রধান মনোনীত হলে একজন ম্যাপার নিচের সুবিধাগুলো পাবেন:

1. এই ফোরামে তাদের নামের পাশে  D  ব্যাজ যুক্ত হবে।

2. ফোরামে তারা নিচের ক্ষমতাগুলো পাবেন-

• Add Members
  
• Approve Members
  
• Attach Files
  
• Edit Own Posts
  
• Invite Members
  
• Mark Duplicate
  
• Post Rich Text Format
  
• Take Topic
  

3. পেন্ডিং রিকোয়েস্ট সাইটে তারা সোনালী ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড ব্যবহার করবেন এবং তাদের এডিট প্রায়োরিটির সাথে প্রথমে রিভিউ করা হবে।

4. ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশ সাইটে জেলা প্রধান হিসাবে তাদের নাম থাকবে।

জেলা প্রধান হিসাবে আপনার দায়িত্ব/ কর্তব্য হবেঃ

• জেলার ম্যাপারদের নির্ভুল ম্যাপিং করতে শেখানো। তাদের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করা।
  
• জেলার চাওয়া-পাওয়া গুগলের কাছে উপস্থাপন।
  
• ম্যাপারদের সংগঠিত করে জেলার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রোড, স্থান যোগ করে দেয়া।
  
• জেলার এডিটকে উন্নত করা এবং নিজের জেলাকে অন্যসব জেলা থেকে উন্নত করে দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন।
  
• আগ্রহী ম্যাপারেরা রেজিস্ট্রেশন করুন এখানে।

Is this "the" Br. Mizan, the person who was one of the starting contributors to Alex Project (previous name - Bangladesh Upazila Completion Plan)? The person who brought forward the GMM Political Boundary Regulations? I did not get him after joining the forum, so I do not know much about him. I assume he is one of the old contributors of Mapping Bangladesh like AAC?

Not for now... We are searching for LOCAL person of Each District. But if you can, You just keep mapping your neighborhood districts or the Districts which you know much... The major thing of this program is Mapping the Local areas with Local knowledge by Local Person. Thats how we can map more n more accurate features....

Dear all,

We would like to update you about the DL Project (District Leadership) by Mapping Bangladesh.

This is an experimental project by Mapping Bangladesh to promote expert mappers from 64 Districts to represent our community to local mappers. This is a community initiative only, so they are not getting any extra moderation power on Map Maker (like RERs). Previously, we considered only highly talented mappers for DL positions, but as of today, the requirements are being changed/lowered.

Being a District Leader would comprise of the following duties:

1. Contribute to base maps for your designated district and engage with local mappers through comments in their edits or anyhow you see fit.
2. Bring co-ordination between all other mappers in your district and discuss with them how to make mapping better.
3. Solve any questions they may have regarding mapping. For that, you have to be an expert mapper yourself at first and be acquainted with Map Maker policies and conventions followed in Bangladesh. If you are not, State Leader will always be there to address your queries and help you.

As of today, even new/amateur mappers can apply and will be considered for DL position. To become an expert, as mentioned in point no. 3, you have to be in constant connection with your SL (State Leader), an RER, by e-mail or by any other means that your SL chooses. He will act as your DL-Guide and will teach you all about mapping by answering most of your mapping related questions. You can e-mail your SL anytime for any mapping confusion/queries, he will instruct you how to proceed.

The most important point of being DL in Mapping Bangladesh - is to be active on Map Maker regularly because you will be representing Mapping Bangladesh community in your district. You have respond promptly to comments left on your Map Maker edits by RERs/SLs/mappers and respond to e-mails from your SL. If you will not be responsive, your District Leadership may be revoked. You have to follow the instructions given to you by SLs and impart the gained knowledge to local mappers in your mapping/reviews.

District Leadership status will be valid for 12 months. We will closely observe the quality (not quantity) of your edits and activities (how you answer questions in the forum, help mappers etc.). All current DLs will be valid till January 2014. Based on their activity, ability and quality of mapping, District Leadership will either be renewed or revoked (and replaced by somebody more able) for the next year.

ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশের পক্ষ থেকে জেলা প্রধান মনোনায়ন করার প্রক্রিয়া শুরু হয়েছে। জেলা প্রধান মনোনীত হলে একজন ম্যাপার নিচের সুবিধাগুলো পাবেন:

1. এই ফোরামে তাদের নামের পাশে  D  ব্যাজ যুক্ত হবে।

2. ফোরামে তারা নিচের ক্ষমতাগুলো পাবেন-

• Add Members
  
• Approve Members
  
• Attach Files
  
• Edit Own Posts
  
• Invite Members
  
• Mark Duplicate
  
• Post Rich Text Format
  
• Take Topic
  

3. পেন্ডিং রিকোয়েস্ট সাইটে তারা সোনালী ব্যাকগ্রাউন্ড ব্যবহার করবেন এবং তাদের এডিট প্রায়োরিটির সাথে প্রথমে রিভিউ করা হবে।

4. ম্যাপিং বাংলাদেশ সাইটে জেলা প্রধান হিসাবে তাদের নাম থাকবে।

জেলা প্রধান হিসাবে আপনার দায়িত্ব/ কর্তব্য হবেঃ

• জেলার ম্যাপারদের নির্ভুল ম্যাপিং করতে শেখানো। তাদের প্রতিনিধিত্ব করা।
  
• জেলার চাওয়া-পাওয়া গুগলের কাছে উপস্থাপন।
  
• ম্যাপারদের সংগঠিত করে জেলার গুরুত্বপূর্ণ রোড, স্থান যোগ করে দেয়া।
  
• জেলার এডিটকে উন্নত করা এবং নিজের জেলাকে অন্যসব জেলা থেকে উন্নত করে দৃষ্টান্ত স্থাপন।
  
• আগ্রহী ম্যাপারেরা রেজিস্ট্রেশন করুন এখানে।
