I overlooked the fact that the release date for this new product is after ingenuity fest. That means the $20 for it could be spent on 10 additional MSP430G2 chips, giving us 25 Arduino+ level devices for $50. The chips need only a capacitor,resistor and AAA or watch battery to function as stand alone devices. Add a CDS and a couple mini pots and it's an optical thermin the size of a half dollar for under $4.
