I've read a number of times that it uses actual power consumption of the M2 is roughly that of a laptop - but is there a more specific figure available than that?  I live in a VERY old building (110+ years I think, unsure of when the last update was) and I literally have just one outlet in every room.  Making matters worse is that the fuse box is in a locked room I believe.  I'm going to be taking up yet another "electric project" and I'm getting concerned about overloading the one outlet that's not in a bedroom or kitchen, which already is feeding a number of things.  I was looking at the PSU's and according to them they can draw up to 10A between the two of them - which is quite a bit!  I certainly have never felt what I'd call 10A worth of heat coming off the thing, I mean my projector only draws 2.6A and I'd say it puts out more heat than the printer, but I'm hoping there is a more specific figure that I can use to calculate!

75 watts without the hbp. Add 160 watts with hbp.

Oh wow, that's nearly nothing..without the HBP, a pair of LED monitors draw more current.  Thanks Rick, as always!

Hi,

I tested my M2 with a kill-0-watt meter and it consumes between 77 watts and 270 watts. Once its up to temp and printing the HPB cycles so it does not run all the time. I'm not sure what the average is but it seems like the HPB only runs about 25% of the time. I run the HPB at 60-95. Seems efficient to me.
