Observation start time: 07:30:00
Observation end  time: 15:30:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter:        Andrew Wolfgang

Observers:        Alan McKelvy, Lionel Quirion, Zane Baker

Visitors:
49

Weather:
An interesting day of weather at Bradbury! Rain ended the count thirty
minutes early. Overcast skies were mixed with periods of very clear skies
throughout the day, and winds were variable. In the morning winds were
light from the east consistently, then in the afternoon winds changed and
intensified slightly. Often today it felt like a warm spring day with lots
of sun, and then it would quickly turn to a chilly overcast day similar to
the early days of the count.

Raptor Observations:
Today 59 migrants were recorded at the summit. An adult Northern Goshawk
put on a show for some visitors and observers! Sharp-shinned Hawks,
Broad-winged Hawks, Red-tailed Hawks, Osprey, Northern Harrier, American
Kestrels, and Northern Goshawk were all flying by at close range pleasing
the crowd today!

Non-raptor Observations:
36 species were observed at the summit today. A FOY Chipping Sparrow and
FOY Bumble Bee (looking for some flowers) were signs of spring that our
alert visitors found on a beautiful Saturday!
Other Migrants:

Double-crested Cormorant 177
Tree Swallow 14
Common Grackle 12
Canada Goose 7
Common Merganser 4
Brown-headed Cowbird 3
Red-winged Blackbird 3
Common Loon 2
Palm Warbler 2

Predictions:
Tomorrow looks good for sunshine! It's is predicted to be a beautiful day
at the summit. Hawk watching should be decent tomorrow, as long as the
predicted winds stay light and are not northeast. But even with NE winds,
it will still be a great day to be at Bradbury!!
