Hey everyone:

I’m forwarding this report for Bob and Anne Watson who found a Redhead and relocated the Townsend’s Solitaire at Florida Lake in Freeport this morning.

Also thought I would repost directions for anyone interested: Parking is off Route 125 (Wardtown Road) and you will follow the trail east toward the lake. Taking the first trail on your right will take you to wooden bridge that people have been referencing. From that bridge you will be looking at the north end of the lake, where the bird has been seen. This link will show you on Google Maps the dike where the ilex is that the bird has been eating: http://tinyurl.com/qexmm99 and here is a map from the Freeport Conservation Trust of the property: http://freeportconservationtrust.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/northfreeport800.jpg

Good birding,

> Happy Holidays, Anne and I were looking for the Townsend's solitaire when we spooked a male redhead duck. The bird had a bright red head with royal blue bill, gray back and black chest. It circle twice around the open water and left heading southwest. No picture.
> The way we found it was walking into Florida lake keep going right on a snowmobile trail and just before the bridge there is the open water on the right.

> Towsend's solitaire still present.
