Odd that there were no redstarts, woodpeckers, chestnut sides......There were a lot of Nashsville, magnolia and pine warblers on the trail though, which was lovely.
Birding by ear requires being very vigilant about detecting and tracking down each and every sound. Don't be fooled again!!! You must constantly be open to hearing something new. When you are you won't be disappointed!! Which means you have to also be open to admitting you don't know something or that you may be wrong. Leave your ego in the car!!! But such fun and rewarding birding!
I am desperate to see/hear a Canada warbler. Does anyone have one nailed down within an hour of Rockport???
