to Maine Birds
After most birds had left for Atkins Bay and the Kennebec River this morning, a few shorebirds lingered. Among them was a very small, very small-billed Dunlin, I’m concluding was a Greenland Race (’arctica’). Took many photos, altho’ couldn’t get too close because of jumpy peeps. Will post photos to eBird report and my flickr acct.
Other highlights included a Lesser Black-backed Gull (photos) that 4 of us studied at length. FOS and probably the first of many.
