What's a decent KNX alternative ?

We did buy into the Loxone tree story and installed 24 touch tree switches in our Gira E2 (white, matt) frames. I've been trying to find a reasonable KNX replacement which is also white matt, with the option to also have a temperature sensor.
The only options I've found are MDT (either matt white, but no temperature sensor.... or glossy white with temperature sensor) or Gira Series 3... any other options available which I might have missed?

We also installed a Loxone NFC Code touch (tree), and it's not easy to find a replacement for that either. I did find the ABB SCM/S1.1 as an option to replace the loxone alarm logic, but nothing so far in the KNX world to simply arm/dis-arm an alarm. (I don't need to alarm the police or to certify this system for insurance... all I want is the option to scare a burglar and to have the neighbors switch it off/on during our holiday). seems such a simple problem, but not so simple to fix. any ideas welcome.

Cheers,

Hidde

i found the cuik-sq4

low sheen white glass finish (sorry not matt) with temperature and humidity sensors so brilliant for bathrooms

These look really nice, and not overly expensive either. Thanks :)

Nice find. They also seem to have decent touch screens which might be able to replace the alarm arm/disarm function of our NFC code touch (in combination with some KNX logic or with the ABB SCM).

the only caveat with the cubiks is that their internal debounce is so slow and non-adjustable that it doesnt work well for double clicks - ive just used the short and long presses instead but it was mainly the integrated humidity for bathrooms that i use it for

Could I ask, why are you looking for alternatives? Particularly for the nfc code touch?

I want to have a KNX based alternative (or some other standard would be fine too). In case Loxone starts to act even more protective and makes things only work with their own tree and air products. In general the code touch is OK, the only thing I have against it is that I need a code to switch the alarm on and another code to switch it off again. Not very user-friendly for the neighbors... All other alarm systems in the world allow things to work with a single code.

This will never happen.

I "solve" it using the same code, finished in "1" to switch on and finished in "0" to switch off.
Code 23451 switchs alarm on
Code 23450 switchs alarm off

In This way, the user will never make a mistake enabling the alarm if it wants to disabling it:

We always use a triple click on a switch or touch to arm the alarm or it arms automatically at night so it’s just a case of using the code to disarm. I’m pretty sure you can use a code in conjunction with the alarm block and toggle arm/disarm with the same code anyway?

Hi Duncan,
How responsive is the humidity sensor, would it be good enough to initiate a fan. Do you happen to know the ip rating?

the humidity sensor is very responsive - i logged the readings every few minutes to test it mounted by the door to my bathrooms

i use it to trigger the boost on my mvhr system

i dont know about ip rating, but it fits tight flush to the wall, has a sealed glass front and is running at knx voltage so is SELV compliant but i wouldnt put it in a directly wet environment such as shower enclosure
