Hi all

We're lucky to have Michael Margolis, author of the Arduino Cookbook, organising for the Not Just Arduino group an Arduino Clone workshop based on the ShrimpingIt
I would like to request to use the quiet room
for the 11th April evening. At least two kits  will be donated to the space, plus an Arduino software duplicator device.

We're asking each participants £7.50, this only covers the cost of the kits, and any remaining money or gear will be given to the space.

We have one spot left so RSVP now if interested.

The workshop is open to all but as you know the quiet room offers limited space so we've decided with Michael to limit it to 12 participants so it's manageable. But we'll publish a step by step documentation on the wiki and I'm sure we'll run that training again.

For info, we've sourced and ordered what we think are the cheapest components, including some from Cefn Hoile (the ShimpingIt guy), you'll find the full list attached.

Many thanks

Marc

Where do I sign up for this? Big fan of Mr Margolis :)
You just did ;) You are now on the list, can you email me for details?

Even if there are not spots left you can still RSVP by replying to this thread or emailing me and I'll add you to the waiting list, useful if somebody cancels or can't make it.

Just a reminder that we've rescheduled the date for the Arduino Clone workshop (it was this Thursday) due to preparation for the hackspace move (storing boxes in the quiet room...) on the 13-14th.

Michael Margolis, who runs the workshop for us, has offer a new date: Thursday 9th May 7PM, so we'd like to request the classroom/quiet room at the new space for that event.

All the participants have already been informed by email, though there is still a waiting list you can join in case somebody can't make it, drop me a line if interested.

Hi all

As a reminder the Arduino clone workshop will run tonight in the classroom:
12 participants + teacher. We will move the tables around but I will make sure we put everything back into place.

The step by step guide created by Michael Margolis will be available in the hackspace library and we will have a couple extra clone boards for the space.
As usual I will also publish the recorded documentation (PDF, podcast) on the wiki.

Thanks

Thanks to all for their active participation last night and specially to Michael Margolis for running this great workshop for us, hopefully the first of many.

You'll find here all media and documentation:

I have added 2 printed version of the guide in the library in the Arduino section and will leave the remaining components (stripboards, USB modules, breadboards and various other bits) in the electronic station.
