Good day everyone,

A small crew of Jolla enthusiasts are getting together in London next Sunday 22nd June, and would like to meet like-minded or simply curious people in a relaxed hacking event.

Agenda includes presenting Jolla phone and its NFC powered the-other-half (TOH), explaining I2C/charge/power lines that can also be accessed in a custom-3D-printed TOHs. Anyone's welcome to bring their custom TOHs as we appear not to have any.. :D

In parallel there would be a demonstration of Sailfish OS on other Android devices, and welcomed discussion about its porting aspects.

On IRC you mentioned Sundays being a bit lazy :) yet would there be a Hackspace member willing to assist us and make this event happen?

We're currently 5 confirmed people, would be looking into a timeslot from 14:00 to 18:00, no strict agenda people are free of coming and going, landing in a pub for the rest of the night.
Earlier this year only a 24-hours notice mobile meetup in a pub has seen ~17 faces in the course of the night; we'll lash out advertisements soon after we have a confirmation from you.

I am a Jolla sailor though just happen to live in UK, so this event is unofficial and we'll try to donate ourselves.

Many thanks!
Sim

17 might be a bit much for the classrom, they can probably squeeze in tho.

Have you been to the space before and had a check to see if it's what you
expect?

It will be fine, since there is no strict start time.

Have you been to the space before and had a check to see if it's what you
expect?

WLAN, electricity, a table, and a place to sit :) The rest is about socialising, so we are delighted to host it at your venue.

If you have a Google account associated with this address you should be able to manage the calendar now.

Hello again, massive thanks for hosting this event!

The word has already been out with the link to the calendar on g+/fb/twitter: https://twitter.com/sledgeSim/status/478506787885555712

Jasper, may I have your phone# in case we're held up?

Could you recommend a good pub nearby for the afterparty, preferably with a TV-less room ;D ?

Mike, you'll be the guest of honour and the deck will be all yours to present the QI-TOH! :)
I'll try to stick some glue and make a macro-OH https://plus.google.com/113435503145887565355/posts/aiKxLW5SVyy :)

See you all in a bizzle!

Hi Sim

Can you confirm where this is being held please? The google calendar entry isn't clear. Is this at London Hackspace, 447 Hackney Road, London E2 9DY or somewhere else.

Thanks

Mike

Yes it's certainly there from 14 o'clock.

Then after 18 o'clock we'll be at Seabright Arms pub nearby, the name of the pub is purely coincidental :D

For the curious ones, the TOH SDK PDF is available here: http://jolla.com/the-other-half-developer-kit
