It has a team behind it who have the skills
there will be a trial and error approach
the construction is planned on being modular

No problem with this, but what sort of size are you talking about?

Is it going to be a regular sized 3d printer like the Lulzbots or something more like the size of the cnc mill in the basement?

The build area will be some where between 60cm  to 1 m cubed so some where in the middle of those sizes
