I would like to issue a survey about how to Lojbanize foreign names
containing a semivowel directly preceded by a consonant sound. Since the
end of 2014, after a vote of the BPFK, any sequence of a consonant
directly followed by a semivowel (for example "ia" in "kenias") is
banned from Lojban words (cmavo, brivla and cmevla included). However
the BPFK did not give any recommendation on what alternative
Lojbanization to favor. I have thus made this little survey to gather
the opinions of Lojbanists on which Lojbanization they prefer with
regard to semivowels.

Here is the link to the survey:

I'm looking forward to reading your opinions.

So, here are the results of the poll:

[Poll Results]

Two of the questions have a "Other" option, which allows the user to type an alternative answer.

Here are the alternatives typed for the "Other" options:

• tokios, kisua'ilis, kenias
• I've oscillated between all four and have preferred the last two lately
• tok,ios kis,ua'ilis KEN,ias
• tokin, kisuxilin, kenin

• casi,us, mari,as
• Any of the first three for Cassius, any of the first two for Marīa
• kasi,us mari,as
• kasis, marin
• kasi,us, mari,as
• KAsius, marias (I see no problems, but if there are I prefer the h versions)
