http://youtu.be/iSZ3BUru59A These videos are quite entertaining. If somebody would like to go through the effort of requesting a derivative works permission from the author as well as the transcript, music score, and video, I would be quite happy to redub this to Lojban. It's a very easy, incremental project. We work on one video at a time, there's no deadline, and we would have somewhat of a presentable Lojbanic project to show off.

It's under a Creative Commons license.

But it's under the "non derivative" clause.

I think that translations count as derivative works.
Since it's from the Australian Government maybe some Australian jbopre might have more chance to get permission?

I just send them an email ask for permission, mentioning I'm an
Australian student. I'll let you know what they say.

They finally got back to me. The response is pasted below, but it's basically a no to a redub. :(

"
We can't give you permission to redub the video, but if you wish to provide a time coded transcript in Lojban we'd add it to the videos so you can have subtitles in the language on the channel.

Can you download the English transcript as it stands from the site and return to us translated? If not we can provide it.

I hope this suits you.

Thanks
Rob

Get the scripts, then?

I'm not going to translate them, but meh... somebody else?
