I got a google alert for this today:

http://au.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20121203095903AAdPZjy

Basically, someone asked to be explained the Lojban parts of speech in terms of natural languages (nouns and verbs and what not).

Somebody answered him, and then some. It's about two pages of text.

So, I was wondering: Are long-winded answers common from us?

1. brivla are verbs. Period.
2. If you see a verb not working as brivla then something wrong in ur understanding of what a verb is (see #1).

Looks good as far as the nouns and verbs go, but Lojban also has pronouns,
prepositions, conjunctions, terminators, tense markers, relativizers, the
predicate marker, and particles. I'm not sure what to call UI as a part of
speech; it splits into interjections and discursives, but that's a semantic,
not syntactic, distinction.
