"mu'i" is "because of motive..."; "semu'i" is "with motivated action...". "bo"
is there to keep "semu'i", which normally is a preposition, from claiming the
sentence's subject as its object. It has the side effect of making three or
more sentences connected by ".i<prep>bo" group from right to left. I'm not
sure how to get around that. You got the right idea.
