Hi everybody!
Maybe you've heard about my new software called ELM made in collaboration with Enttec -
https://www.enttec.com/product/pixel-mapping-software/? It's a very good complement to Lightjams when you want to drive a large LED installation and not be restrained to putting all LEDs in straight lines.
You can control ELM from any console/software able to send artnet or sAcn.
To enable remote control in ELM, go in the settings/remote menu. Then select sAcn to fit this sample project, select the basic fixture mode and the percent DMX value mode. Also make sure to configure the network adapter you want to use in the settings/sAcn menu.
This sample project shows how to change the media, color and playback speed based on the music. Each 4 beats, the color changes - I've used the color palette to remove the pink. Each 8 beats, the media changes. The playback speed is a function of the music power.
For the media, the formula is: if(onbeat(music.1.low.beat,8), randint(1,4), last)
The randInt function is pretty useful since it picks a different number each time. This ensures the media will change every 8 beats. With this formula, only media 1 to 4 are used. So modify these numbers to fit the media you have loaded in ELM.
