Greetings,

I'm actually experimenting some serious issue with a production lift
application, and after some investigation, I have the *feeling* that
Lift Comet integration isn't complete and don't include support for
session affinity.

A feeling that got reinforced after reading that thread:
https://groups.google.com/group/liftweb/browse_thread/thread/d6c8c1ea099d05b6/09dbd2ffe952ec88

I didn't find anywhere else more informations on the subject, can
someone explain me what is the current status of session affinity
support with Comet ?

(In a nutshell, when a websocket timeout occur, when reconnecting, the
session is lost)

Thanks to all for your help,

Cheers

Alois,

That is a perfectly reasonable question. Let me do some research to
see if I can help you. Of course,
it would be better if someone experienced in Lift were willing to
help. But I will do my best.

Actually, no, it's not a reasonably phrased question.  For example, " I have the *feeling* that Lift Comet integration isn't complete" is just not acceptable in this community.

If the OP sees behavior that he's not expecting, then he should post what he sees, what he expects to see, and a way for us to reproduce the issue (see https://www.assembla.com/wiki/show/liftweb/Posting_example_code ).  That gives us a basis for a discussion.

Hi all,

Thanks for your answer.

After diving into the forum I found this thread and just wanted to
link it here because it helped me answer my question:
https://groups.google.com/group/liftweb/browse_thread/thread/e66aba01784aa8a1/ec050b3120fab266

In a nutshell I was using the wrong tool to solve my problem.

Best regards,
