I guess the real commercial plan here is to market the advanced card board technology.

In the article, it looks like they have solved that with their "organic" layered coatings over the cardboard.   I guess they soaked it in a body of water for a really long time and it was not damaged at all!   I am thinking they are serious about this.   Kind of cool actually since they believe it can be manufactured close to markets so as to avoid having huge distribution issues and wasting fuel shipping..

I am still laughing. But not in any negative way. I simply think the idea is hilarious.

As for the current prototype... Wally sells geared bikes for $50. The inventor hasn't disclosed a price , yet. The jury is out on this one. On the technical side I am missing paniers and a kick-stand. Especially in poor countries bike are mules..

We'll see if the inventor can turn the idea into something marketable. Or maybe he needs to sell it to me and my kind. I might be tempted to buy one for $100. Just for cool. And, as a kids bike.... Possibilities.
