Sunday Meetup

Hi all,

Apologies, I am under sufficient strain at the moment that 1) I may not
be able to attend again this week and 2) I am not reliably remembering
to post these announcements.
The practice of needing someone to commit to being there (and having a
phone number available for help) also militates against announcing them
all at once for the month. Could someone flag if they know they'll be
there Sunday?

Your regularly scheduled meetup. Join us from 2pm to talk about Our Sort
of Thing.

Since it's sometimes sunny at the moment, we may be in Lincoln's Inn
Fields, probably somewhere in the northwest quadrant. If not, we'll be
in the usual Shakespeare's Head, which is, like, right round the corner,
so disgruntlement should be low. If you can't find us for some reason...
I would say to give me a call on 07860 466862, but actually I will
probably not be able to make it myself this week. Which makes me a poor
choice for organiser, in retrospect.
Does anyone want to volunteer their phone number and/or commit to being
there?

We run this meetup almost every week; these days we tend to get in the
region of 5-15 people in attendance. By default, meetups are just
unstructured social discussion about whatever strikes our fancy: books
we're reading, recent posts on LW/related blogs, logic puzzles, toilet
usage statistics....

Sometimes we play The Resistance or other games. We usually finish
around 7pm, give or take an hour, but people arrive and leave whenever
suits them.

I'm not convinced - the park has the benefits of Vitamin D production (I spend most of my time indoors next to a computer), and I find nature more aesthetically pleasing than Shakespeare's Head.
