i think i joined this site because i mistyped a google search for 'not even wrong'---a physics blog bu p woit at col. u (and a famous phrase).  looks like an interesting group though some of the terms i'm not too familiar with or can't remember (i may have heard of altruists---eg 'evolutuion of cooperation' by axelrod and hamilton, boyd and richerson, e o and ds wilson  (theoretical biology), samuel bowles (sanrta fe institute)). Rationalism (ranging from pre-Kant through B F Skinner to, say, n chater and m christianson (linguistics, anti-'language instinct'(chomsky)).  But the irrationals are also interesting (conspiracy theorists, lunatics etc----eg vixra.org/abs/1312.0122) and according to Cantor, there are more irrationals than rationals. (see also blum, smale, shub 'computing over the reals', or arxiv.org/abs/1105.1380).
I personally have a deep religious and spiritual faith---i'm an agnostic stochastic, based on quantum theory (do doesn't play dice---he flips a coin) and statistical mechanics (boltzmann, etc.).  so i flip a coin, and believe in chance (though as a sinner i sometimes or often go against the coin's decision).
"Baby, don't you cry, i'll sing you a lullaby, we're walking down the streets of chance and the chances are always slim or next to none'  ---Iggy Pop (the idiot).  (search 'idiot' on www.axiomsandchoices.blogspot.com  ).  my schedule is fairly chaotic (butterfly effect) (eg www.wired.com/2013/05/the-fiftieth-anniversary-of-chaos  )
