Hello,
This is an invitation to a double-header workshop at the University of Copenhagen (Skovskolen in Nødebo) May 12th to 15th. The topics are LiDAR with LAStools (held by Martin Isenburg from rapidlasso) and QGIS with a focus on the Processing framework (held by Victor Olaya from Boundless). Note that this event is not free like (or as cheap as) the other short courses I am holding this year that are listed at
http://rapidlasso.com/events but it will be much more in depth ...
The event is organized by Lene Fischer (
l...@ign.ku.dk) and please contact her with organizational questions directly. She is an Associate Professor at the Department of Geosciences and Natural Resource Management at the University of Copenhagen.
Program:
12. May: LiDAR 1
· Intro to LiDAR and LAStools (with hands-on exploration of a data set)
· LiDAR quality checking
· LiDAR preparation (ground filtering, noise removal, classification, normalization)
· LiDAR derivative generation (rasters, contours, building footprints)
· Q&A
13. May: LiDAR 2
· Tile-based LiDAR processing (1)
· Tile-based LiDAR processing (2)
· Using LAStools via the other interfaces: command line and batch scripts
· Using LAStools via the QGIS Processing toolbox and creating Models
· Q&A
Here are some online resources about what the hands-on workshop will cover:
