Hi.
Thank you for Krusader, it's the best Linux file manager.

OS: Fedora 18 x86, KDE 4.9.5, 3.7.2-204 kernel.

I usually set the internal editor to a different encoding and I enable static
word wrap. But if I restart Krusader these changes are lost.
However, if I make changes in KWrite settings (outside Krusader), they are
remembered when I use Kwrite to open another text file.
What can I do so the internal editor settings would be saved even after
restarting Krusader...?
Thank you for any help.

I searched on forums and here before posting but couldn't find something useful.

Best regards, David

Hi, AFAIK this is a known bug that has been posted at bugs.kde.org
already.

Thank you.
Yes, I see that it was reported 10(!) months ago... Should I add my comment/report to that bug report I should just wait until they fix it?
Anyway meantime I can use that workaround...

Best regards, David

I'm sorry, we currently have a lack of developers - so things might
take longer.

It's such a shame that such good apps, like Krusader, get the short end of the
stick when it comes to having people enough to work on it and crap apps seem to
attract more than enough so that it becomes even *more* crap.

A good example is comparing Krusader to Dolphin. Not only does Dolphin not have
anywhere near the functionality or intuitiveness, but it uses 29.7MB of RAM and
29MB of shared RAM. Krusader uses 7.2MB of RAM and 24.3MB of shared.

Well, it's okay, Krusader will keep inching along and it still works well enough
to be considered the 'best' even with a few small flaws. I'd give anything to know
how to program but I just don't have enough in the 'smarts' department, even
though I've tried for years.
