What is the history of the name Julia? Because this language is called Julia?

Yes, I am also curious why they chose a personal name (which is very much still in use, unlike Pascal) for a computer language.

Though Julia is a good name, most of the times, it sends mixed feelings to people, some times good, sometimes hard, depending on the persons they have encountered with the name Julia in their lives.

Would have been good, if a non personal name had been chosen for this very powerful language.

At least they didn't call it Hitler.

P.S. I think this is at least the 3rd time this question has come up on this forum. Just FYI.
