Hi

https://github.com/jOOQ/jOOQ/tree/master/jOOQ-codegen-gradle

I'm unable to find jooq-codegen-gradle dependency mentioned in the manual above from maven repository. Is it going to be added there or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

Hello,

This is a third-party contribution which is on hold right now and not officially distributed by Data Geekery. The contribution was made here:

I'm currently waiting for the CLA to be signed by the contributor, before this contribution can be officially incorporated and documented.

Hope this helps,
Lukas

Hi Lukas,

I was about to ask the same question :)
As workaround, i did a fork of the orginal third-party-plugin and just changed the jooq dependencies to 3.2.
It works well waiting for the official plugin.

Cheers,
Stan.

Yes, I guess that would be the way forward for now.

If the CLA is not signed off, there's another option towards which I'm working. I'd like to have a www.jooq.org/community platform, where such distributions can be placed without being formally and legally incorporated into the jOOQ product. This would allow others to retain their copyrights and license Data Geekery to perform hosting of their contributions. The hosted contributions would all be ASL 2.0 licensed.

Cheers
Lukas

That is certainly not a bad idea. Builders wont' be the only tools that the community develops; it would be for sure great to have a platform for that.
cheers. stan.

Yes. I'm thinking about various open sourced, third-party SPI implementations, e.g. for ConnectionProvider, RecordMapperProvider, RecordListenerProvider, ExecuteListenerProvider, VisitListenerProvider, or just CustomQueryParts.
Sheesh, jOOQ has become awfully configurable, recently ;-)

Hi Lukas, didn't you get an agreement to incorporate his gradle-plugin? I can't find jooq-codegen-gradle...

Hi Jes,

Thanks for checking back. No, there has not been an agreement with respect to the jooq-codegen-gradle contribution, I'm afraid.

Best Regards,
Lukas
