DC Ward 8 City Council Race Seeks Paid Fellows

Nate Fleming for DC City Council in the Ward 8 Special Election seeks campaign fellows to assist in a range of campaign activities. Fellows will work with the campaign manager to craft a work plan that helps build skills and experiences necessary to gain full-time employment on the campaign. Fellows will work out of the campaign’s office in SE DC. Possible fellow tracks include:

·         Finance: Building fundraising lists; following up with donor pledges; drafting fundraising emails; and planning and staffing fundraising events.

·         Field: Planning and staffing community events and rallies; recruiting and training volunteers; and overseeing volunteer phone banks.

·         Communications: Contacting the media regarding press releases and press events; managing the campaign’s social media presence; and drafting press communications.

All fellows will be required to include door-knocking and direct voter contact as a part of their work plan. Knowledge of Ward 8 is a plus but not required. Fellows must work a minimum of 4 hours per day, 3 days a week. All fellows will receive a $250 per month stipend.
