DESCRIPTION:
New Virginia Majority is hiring a Regional Field Director to manage paid and volunteer voter outreach programs. Ideal candidates will be highly organized, detail-oriented and self-starters.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
A competitive applicant must have field organizing or electoral organizing experience. They must have strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a large staff. The RFD is also responsible for training canvassers and voter organizers to do their work effectively while holding them accountable to high performance standards.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge and experience using the VAN (preferred)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- An understanding that the job will require irregular and long hours
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Self- motivated and able to work independently
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
This position is full time and eligible for NVM's full package of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as monthly phone and transportation allowances. Salary commensurates with experience.
Competitive salary, including benefits. The Field Director is responsible for his/her own travel to/from Virginia (if relocating) and local housing.
