Midwest, highly-competitive congressional campaign seeks motivated and creative Finance Director candidates to work with a strong second-time candidate with a strong local support network

 

DESCRIPTION/ DUTIES

 

The Finance Director will be responsible for developing and implementing a finance plan through the 2020 election.

 

The Finance Director will develop, implement, and manage call time

programs, low and high dollar events, donor prospecting, research and maintenance, and call time staffing. The Finance Director will work with the digital team to advise and help develop the online fundraising and email programs.

 

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

 

Ideal candidates will have at least one cycle as a Finance Assistant or Call Time Manager. Candidates also must have significant experience with Microsoft Excel and NGP. Ideal

candidates will have experience in all aspects of campaign finance operations including managing relationships with donors, call time, building events, mail, digital, finance committee, and budget management.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

-Tracking progress to goal
-Producing daily reports for candidate and campaign manager

-Regular communication with top donors and prospective donors

-Identifying new donor prospects 

-Managing the call time process, including all follow up communications

-Planning and overseeing all fundraising events

-Identifying regional fundraising opportunities outside the district

-Preparing thank you letters and other mail solicitations as necessary

-Recruiting and managing finance interns

 

Qualifications:

-Exceptional organizational skills

-Self-motivated and creative

-Poise under pressure

-Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

-Experience with NGP, ActBlue, Microsoft Office, and other fundraising software

-Experience working with a national network of progressive donors and contacts is strongly desired
-Strong verbal and interpersonal communication skills

-Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
