JOB: Deputy Data Director - Colorado Coordinated Campaign - Denver, Colorado

The Colorado Democratic Party (CDP) is seeking a full-time Data Deputy Director to join the 2014 Colorado Coordinated Campaign. The Data Deputy Director will be responsible for guiding our field, mail and finance program in order to contact voters in the 2014 election. This can range from reporting to data visualization, targeting to program development. The position is based in Denver, but may require travel around the state. The applicant will report directly to the Data Director.

 

Responsibilities include:

§  Reporting on everything from field progress to goal to election topline efforts

§  Administration of Votebuilder and other data programs, including  answering support requests from the field and other campaign entities

§  Training staff on data tools

§  Targeting voter contacts and volunteer prospects

§  Developing election day and early vote tools

§  Help with analytics

 

Skills and Qualifications:

§  One to three cycles of campaign experience, preferably with at least one cycle as a field organizer

§  Strong ability to work independently while maintaining a commitment to developing a strong and supportive team culture

§  An analytical and methodical mind

§  Strong experience in Votebuilder, including MyCampaign and Voter Registration tabs (as a user or administrator)

§  Strong familiarity with Excel and SQL

§  Preferable knowledge of HTML/CSS and either PHP or Phython

§  Helpful, but not necessary- experience with modeling and modeling programs like R

§  GIS mapping data experience

§  Experience in reporting accurately on campaign data

§  The ability to advocate for and communicate data to those without a data background

§  Candidates must be self-motivated and willing to work extremely long hours, including nights and weekends, in a fast-paced changing environment

§  Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines under pressure
