Title: Director of Digital Engagement - Watershed List Manager Status: Exempt

New Jersey League of Conservation Voters Education Fund (NJLCVEF) and Conservation Pennsylvania (CP) seek a talented, full-time digital organizer to direct a robust environmental digital engagement program in the Delaware Watershed. The primary objective is to build, manage and utilize a large email list to promote environmental protection and support partner organizations in the Delaware Watershed. The position will report to Executive Directors of NJLCVEF and CP and will work with a coordinated team of partners in NJ and PA.

Responsibilities:

• Work independently and with a team to increase the impact of strategic communications in the Delaware River Watershed.
• Creative campaign opportunities to engage, mobilize and maintain a Delaware River Watershed activist base both online and offline.
• Write compelling advocacy and fundraising email copy, online petitions, and other copy.
• Design and implement paid advertising and organic growth strategies to build email lists.
• Cultivate, establish and maintain relationships with each of the Watershed Partners.
• Develop guidelines for using the Watershed List in collaboration with state partners.
• Promote activities of Watershed Partners and transferring online engagement into in person action
• Track relevant news items and identifying appropriate partners to respond to them.
• Host a monthly communications call with the organizational partners.
• Disseminate best practices for digital communications and messaging among partners.
• Update and create website materials.

Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience in digital communications and organizing or related experience; field experience a plus.
• Ability to design tests, analyze data and draw conclusions.
• Strong writing and editing skills required.
• Experienced in using social media for advocacy purposes.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Personable, dependable team player with a good sense of humor and appreciation for optimism.
• Able to seek and process constructive criticism.
• Expert computer skills, familiarity with CRM, CMS and online advocacy tools, Photoshop, HTML, Microsoft Office Suite, Twitter, Facebook.
• Experience with Convio strongly preferred.
• An understanding of environmental issues and their potential to engage the public.
• Familiarity with the 2014 Benchmarks Study by M&R Research and the Non-Profit Technology Network preferred
• Drivers license and automobile to travel within large geographic area.

Location, Compensation and Timeline:
• The position will be based in Philadelphia, PA; Trenton, NJ; or Somerset, NJ.
