Campaign Manager in Northern Virginia

We are seeking an experienced Campaign Manager to work on an upcoming state General Assembly election for a strong first-time candidate with widespread support in a suburban area of Northern Virginia. We are looking for a Campaign Manager who can exercise sound judgment, work well under tight deadlines, and has experience building and motivating teams. Previous campaign experience is required, fundraising experience is a plus. 

 

Responsibilities

• Execution of the campaign plan, including fundraising, field, and media.
  
• Overseeing the campaign budget.
  
• Managing campaign staff, interns, and volunteers.
  
• Regular reporting of quantitative and qualitative data.
  
• Draft communication, endorsement, and outreach materials as needed.
  
• Developing and executing plans to bring grass-tops leaders on board.
  
• Mobilizing groups for press events and direct voter outreach operations.
  
• Scheduling AND managing the candidate’s time properly. 
  

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in urban elections.
  
• Campaign experience in finance operations preferred, especially call time. 
  
• Previous management of staff. 
  
• Strong writing and speaking skills.
  
• Ability to problem-solve independently and take creative approaches to meet goals.
  
• Proven track record of working with a consulting team.
  
• Proficiency using NGP, VAN, Microsoft Office, and Google Docs. 
  
• Must be able to work campaign hours as well as nights and weekends as needed
