We’re starting a campaign in Philadelphia and we’re looking to increase our team to include like-minded individuals. Positions open for organizers as well as paid canvassers.

ORGANIZERS

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Recruiting, training, and managing volunteers and paid canvassers.
  
• Training canvassers to represent the campaigns to voters in a professional manner, and to collect accurate information
  
• Handling day-to-day operations of a campaign field office
  
• Developing volunteer leaders to help carry out phone banks, canvasses, voter registration drives and other events designed to contact voters and engage volunteers.
  
• Meeting voter contact and volunteer recruitment goals and deadlines
  
• Conducting outreach to constituency groups, Democratic clubs and allied organizations.
  
• Representing the campaign at community meetings and events
  
• Providing accurate and consistent reports of progress to goal.
  
• Use voter database and online organizing tools
  
• Responsible for voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and event management
  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Strong appetite for grassroots organizing and passionate about climate
  
• Excellent organizational skills
  
• Previous campaign experience is plus
  
• Experience using voter databases like VAN is a plus
  
• Ability to adapt rapidly to evolving priorities and deadlines
  
• Driven with a strong work ethic
  
• Act with high integrity and character
  
• Self-motivated and willing to work irregular hours as needed
  
• Previous climate, energy or environmental issue organizing experience a plus
  

COMPENSATION:

This is a full time position including benefits. Salary is competitive and based on experience.

PAID CANVASSERS

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-       Contacting voters at their homes

-       Encouraging voters to support environmentally friendly jobs in the upcoming election

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

-       Must be passionate about creating a change in your community

-       Must have reliable transportation to and from our office

-       Canvassing experienced preferred but not required

 

COMPENSATION:

This is a 30 hour a week position that pays $15 an hour.
